The character development and stories themselves are all so incredibly great bar one or two episodes which are still good. Teddy Perkins and North of the Border are definitely the two best episodes of the show in my opinion.

SEASON 2
I thought it was gonna be hard to improve on the first season but Atlanta does just that. I really liked the singualr character focused episodes of this season like 'Teddy Perkins', 'Woods', 'Champagne Papi' etc. They massively develop the characters and really keep the vibe of the show going.
Quite unlike anything else currently on TV, I'm so glad I chose to rewatch Atlanta before starting S3 for the first time. Very excited to see what the next season holds as S2 is just perfect

Patience is required by and rewarded in the three episodes screened for critics: Some stage-setting is necessary to illustrate changes in the characters lives, but it also fits with the moseying pace and under-the-influence tenor Glover and director Hiro Murai struck in the first season.
Atlanta is still good and still roughshod, but there’s a tougher texture to this season. That’s mainly the robbin’ part.
a refined sequel with no rival. back again "Atlanta" takes more risks to even greater results.gone are the slow starts with the high action first episode alone an award worthy perfection. relationships are in constant flux and seem to be the motivations or burdens of character's whilst they struggle with trying to make it forward but stay humble. The music for the series is well curated and the cinematography more rich. every1 is given a light to shine but the two episode's that are the most memorable to me are "Teddy Perkins" and the German holiday from hell. proof that when the writers push the limits of the believable for raw depictions of common themes they succeed.

I watched the entire season but it was a slog. Reviewer "AReedy" has it correct. Big drop from season 1, which was a gem in every way. But in season 2, Atlanta even **** the humor out of comedian Katt Williams' performance and failed to produce anything close to Season 1's "Value" or the profound and funny jail scene in "Streets on Lock". Another case of critical acclaim coming after the train has left the station.

I loved Atlanta until season 2. The show has become less about the characters and more about racism. Almost every episode is about racism now and the last episode has caused a lot of hate towards white people. I saw so many Reddit threads saying white should pay for the past.. I’m sorry that just isn’t right. I’m so tired of the hate that fills this world we don’t need anymore fuel to that. That’s last episode was it for me. I’m not going to watch another hate white people episode. This show is not was it was originally.
