As with his earlier shows, "Hopkins 24/7" (2000) and "Hopkins" (2008), Wrong has structured these stories masterfully. Nothing seems wasted, nothing is superfluous. As a result, the hugely important work these people do is honored in every shot.
  2. Boston Med operates at the edges of real life in a way scripted shows can only approach. It is the single must-see broadcast-TV show of the summer.

It's amazing stuff. Totally engaging. And completely worth watching.

The cases (a baby at risk, a man with lung cancer, an unconscious drunk) are surprisingly moving, the editing only mildly manipulative, and you genuinely feel there's an element of reality to the show, a rare trait indeed for reality TV.
  5. If you don't tear up at least once during each episode, you've already coded. "Boston Med" is the cure for summertime TV blues.
  6. While capturing all this with seemingly unfettered access, Wrong finds the little dramas that provide insight into what it's like to be a resident at one of the world's premier teaching hospitals.
  7. 60
The results are, of course, compelling but also assiduously sterilized.

As a resident physician this show is an embarrassment to the medical community. I only wish I could have back the time I wasted watching it.As a resident physician this show is an embarrassment to the medical community.
