It's amazing stuff. Totally engaging. And completely worth watching.
  2. Boston Med operates at the edges of real life in a way scripted shows can only approach. It is the single must-see broadcast-TV show of the summer.

In the weeks ahead, there is a tremendous amount of not-to-be-missed drama--including the area's first face transplant.
  4. If you don't tear up at least once during each episode, you've already coded. "Boston Med" is the cure for summertime TV blues.

The cases (a baby at risk, a man with lung cancer, an unconscious drunk) are surprisingly moving, the editing only mildly manipulative, and you genuinely feel there's an element of reality to the show, a rare trait indeed for reality TV.
  6. What could have easily become a pandering hybrid is in fact intelligent, emotionally resonant television.
  7. 60
The results are, of course, compelling but also assiduously sterilized.

As a resident physician this show is an embarrassment to the medical community. I only wish I could have back the time I wasted watching it. Who writes this crap?! Expand
