Oozes with style. Well paced and engaging. Its enough to ignore one unnecessary flaw: the plot and characters are so tightly interwoven you would think there are only 20 people on earth and the history of our planet was just 5 days long. The coincidences are ridiculous .. yet despite this drawback the episodes are immensely watchable. It's a shame the writers thought they needed to make everything so interrelated ... it really was not necessary at all. Expand

Like so many crime novel adaptations, Case Histories leaves the audience with a faint echo of a delightful original, oozing with talent, budget, and location shooting, and almost bereft of compelling content.

[Jason Isaacs] is not the only reason to recommend it, but it is by itself sufficient; indeed, it overwhelms any small arguments in its disfavor.

Isaacs makes an attractively moody hero, and both the supporting and guest casts are superb. That said, the episodes tend to meander slowly from plot point to plot point.
