With the kids and Craig out of town Maddie is left with nothing to do but cover a local fashion show. With vegan designers, arson and murder this is anything but Milan.

Maddie's neighbor, Mrs. Plumlee has always seemed like a nice older woman. But then she starts having accidents that might be intentional, and Maddie's not so sure she doesn't deserve it.

Maddie participates in a cooking contest to see who's sending the head judge death threats. When the judge is murdered and Maddie's friend is implicated it is up to Maddie to sift through the suspects.
