In its eighth season, It's Always Sunny doesn't try very many new things, but the writers are smart enough to know not to mess with a successful formula, and the series carries itself with an air of aplomb that many comedies rarely come close to exhibiting.

  1. The best funny tv-show ever! I watched it since it started and I can say, that it is my favorite show. It is comedy at its best. And also Charlies dumb actions are the best. Expand
  2. I generally try to avoid shows in which characters never really grow or change, but this show is hilarious. It can at times be cringe-worthy in pursuit of laughs, but I think that's part of its charm. Expand
  3. In this day and age of identikit sit-coms it is refreshing to watch a comedy show that deals with slightly more risky subjects. Take a quick glance at the episode titles of this first season and you'll see mention of racism, abortion and all manner of topics very few programmes will try to find humour in. With just seven episodes in this first season it difficult to really judge just how good It's Always Sunny will become. Most episodes were mildly humorous rather than laugh out loud funny but there were certainly glimpses that it could develop into something worth sticking with once the writers have had a chance to really understand the characters they have created. Expand
  4. Not too comical, alright to watch when you're really really really bored though. The show is not funny until later seasons, basically until Danny Devito comes in to play Frank Reynolds. I think Devito being on the show attracted better writers and made the characters more funny. Expand
