He was so engulfed/method acting in his role as Metro-Dade Vice detective James "Sonny" Crockett, that you wondered if Don could have been a detective in real life. He and Philip Michael Thomas had such a symbiotic relationship for 111 episodes of the show's run that when the 1990s came around, it was hard to see them apart and going about their lives on other TV shows or movies. Even as the obsessive Miami Vice fan that I am, even I can see that seasons 1, 2, and 3 were the best seasons of the show's run, especially the first two seasons. Back in the 1980s this was a revolutionary show. And even though it is incredibly dated today in 2017, the show is still a classic and is binge-watching worthy to the hilt. If you want to know what a classic and stylized detective show looks like, then watch Miami Vice on DVD or Blu-Ray and you will thank yourself for the rest of your life. Expand
