When I first heard of New Girl I kept thinking that I wouldn't enjoy it and continued to push it off. Once I finally gave in to watching the first episode I was hooked and regretted taking so long to watch it. New Girl is the perfect combination for romance and comedy. I think this is the best tv series out there that I can connect with and wish it wasn't cancelled because now I am not sure what else I will watch!
I highly recommend watching this show. It is very funny and it will always put you in a good mood. I randomly started watching the show and shortly became addicted. The characters are all different in their own way and they are all very likable. If you are looking for a show to start watching then I would suggest New Girl!
The rather sunny ending of New Girl doesn't feel earned, and your enjoyment level may depend on how much you can tolerate Zooey Deschanel's doofy charisma.
This is one of the few TV shows that makes me laugh out loud, for real. The smart jokes and the just plain goofiness is enchanting. You are hooked with the differences in the characters but the chemistry they all have. The plot is awesome and dynamic, constantly changing without loosing its essence. I recommend it for someone who wants a good show with a good, simple and funny theme.
Have just split from her long term boyfriend Jess (Zooey Deschanel) answers an internet ad from three guys looking for a new roommate. The opening couple of episodes are passable, doing a good job of introducing the different characters as well as being fairly humorous in places. From then on much of your enjoyment of the show will largely depend on whether you find Deschanel’s character cute or annoying as she is very much the focus of the majority of episodes.
Elsewhere there are laughs to be had despite the plots that you’ll have already seen in any number of other US sitcoms over the last couple of decades meaning that in the end New Girl makes for a watchable, if rather predictable sitcom.
Now this is the kind of comedy that was destined to win my heart from the very first watch and it did. The only reason i was excited about watching this show was Zooey Deschannel and didn't quite cared for anything else but i found out how sweet and well written show it turned out. Very funny with sweet, cute moments and Zooey performs amazing, Jess is such a great character. A lovely quirky, goofy and innocent comedy is one the best new TV comedy of 2011 and i am lovin' it.
I'm sorry I really wanted to like this show. But it is horrible! It's not funny and the guys are just stereotypes of the stupid guys on every other show. I have watched every episode and it is not getting any better. Itâ
I've watched two episodes of this show and didn't even laugh once. Normally I enjoy Deschanel but her acting in this show is so.... dull. Her quirkiness is just annoying. I can't even say I enjoyed any of the supporting cast. A bomb if there ever was one.
