Pacing is a problem for most pilots--so many characters to introduce, meaningful stakes to establish--but Quantico, from "Gossip Girl" producer Joshua Safran, does this effortlessly, with at least one deadly effective twist you won't see coming. Just don't come looking for subtlety.
The series premiere of Quantico is never dull. Chopra is charming, and so is the rest of the well-assembled cast.

Just finished watching the Finale last week and it was a tear jerker moment when Ryan joined the woman he loves to run for their lives. It's just heartbreaking Alex is forced to betray her country.

SEASON 1
The plot is intricate and compelling, the characters magnetic and mysterious at the same time.
Prior to the ludicrous escape, the pilot had done an admirable job keeping up the pacing, the interest and certainly the excitement level. That alone should get you to watch the second episode.
If Grey’s Anatomy set at Quantico with a long-term terrorism plot sounds bad to you, proceed no further: This is not your show. If it sounds kind of appealing, as it does to me, Quantico may be your least execrable show of fall.... The pilot doesn’t dwell on the senseless carnage, and if you don't either, what’s left is sexed-up spy games.
The narrative gymnastics make the first half-hour of Quantico pass quickly and entertainingly. Too much of this, though, keeps you from investing much in the characters.
Based on first impressions, Quantico seems to be stationed in a more mundane realm. The question now is whether the show can get away with it.
Priyanka Chopra is the only reason to watch this show. It lacks a good plot line, fairly predictable and sometimes boring. The only thing that saves the show and keeps the audience hooked, which is why this show is a hit, is Priyanka. She has such incredible charisma on screen and truly is a terrific actor. It's a shame it is wasted on this mediocre work but hopefully this success will lead to better work from her in the future.

The first episode set the tone and it has been all downhill since then; the constant "dual plot flashbacks" makes keeping the entire idea that this is supposedly a TRAINING CENTER for FBI agents! Unbelieveable at best - an insult to viewers at the worst! The abundance of beautiful ladies and handsome "gentlemen" is such a farce!
The role played by JOSH HOPKINS is such a farce! He is as much a dimwit in this role as he was in COUGAR TOWN (a role in which he played a much better dimwit!). The remainder of the cast is made up of perfect bodies sans brains. They act like robots programmed to do only a set series of tasks in spite of the imaginary skills they supposedly possess.
I now RECORD QUANTICO so when "Happy Holiday" time rolls around and viewing is limited to reruns I can give it another shot and see if my impression thus far is tainted by my dislike of the "dual storyline" garbage. OH MY GAWD! SHE SHOT HER POPS as an example!
The lack of reviews is likely indicative of a lack of loyal viewers. I see QUANTICO being dumped at the end of the already authorized episodes. Right now it DESERVES to be cancelled - it is THAT bad.

The second season of this show has become so over-the-top I can't stand it. Waste of good talent. It's just not smartly done anymore. It's like the writers were like, "sh**, we got renewed!! Now what?!!!"

This show started out OK, and was actually pretty intriguing for a few episodes. But after a while they had so many time-lines and back-stories criss-crossing back and forth that it became TOTALLY and UTTERLY incomprehensible for many of us!
And while I'm sure that it was a lot of fun for the creators to think-up and carefully layer all those 4D jigsaw puzzle pieces, unfortunately it wasn't AT ALL fun for many of their increasingly bemused, frustrated, and bored viewers to sit through. In short, sometimes 'less' really *is* 'more' !
