Description: This anime series maintains the basic premises of the Shakespearean story. It is set in the alternate-universe aerial city of Neo Verona, where Romeo is the heir to the throne, thanks to his father being the Duke of Montague. It is 14 years since the Montague's massacre of the Capulets which left only Juliet, who must now pass as a male peasant named Odin to survive. Through her skills with the sword and her compunction to aid those marginalized and persecuted by the Montagues, Juliet has become a hero to the people known as "The Red Whirlwind." Romeo and Juliet first meet when Romeo rescues "The Red Whirlwind" from the Montague guards. They end up falling for each other, but when Romeo's family's dark history is revealed, their relationship becomes the tragedy it was always destined to be.
