All floppy hair and Hollywood smile, Kody's way too surferdude to take very seriously as a patriarch. It's the three wives--Meri, Janelle and Christine--who form the solid center of the family and the show.
Sister Wives isn't likely to spark mass polygamy in America, but it's the rare reality show that reveals things viewers didn't expect. It even has jokes.
Sister Wives practically twists and breaks its back assuring viewers how gosh-darn normal everything is. Still, there are some cracks in the crackpots.
