Creator Kurt Sutter has found fewer openings to lighten the show as the story has darkened, and that continues to be the case. Still, we want to know what’s going to happen, even if the odds of anything good are about the same as the odds of the show ever winning the Emmys it deserves.

The season premiere alone places SAMCRO in three progressively darker, increasingly self-destructive set pieces sparked from confusion and ending with the gang indulging in some misguided retaliation.

After a relatively explosive season premiere, the next two episodes of Sons of Anarchy may frustrate viewers hoping for insanity in every episode. Sutter gets down into the dirty of a gang war again, and it’s a bit of a narrative letdown after the explosiveness of last season.

Sons of Anarchy could be the antihero drama to end all antihero dramas, but it'll have to shift into some new gears to go out in the blaze of ingloriousness it deserves.

While it will be interesting to see the way Sons tackles loose ends, in terms of how the series explores shades of gray, it looks like it’s all over but the shooting.

Another thing, all of these people rating the show 0, check their profiles, most of them got "offended" by watching 1 or 2 episodes in season 1 then decided they can speak on all of the seasons. If you don't like it, don't watch it! (Which most of you didn't anyway...) But the fact of the matter is, as much as you hate to admit it, people watch and love this show. Sorry about it!

Looking forward to the prequel. Thanks to all of the cast and crew for putting out an awesome show for 7 great seasons!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. SOA S7 comes to an end, and what an end it was. Jax has given the MC the best change its has had in a LONG time at reaching the goals he and his Father wanted for there Club. I'm surprised that there are so many haters "hating" on the show, and with that Said, I feel that those people really didn't understand the idea behind the show in the 1st place and should maybe go watch day of our lives or something to that nature. Kurt has managed to do something a lot of other directors cant. He made you both love and hate (at the same time) the people within the show. He made you question your own values! Made you reach into the dark little part of your sole that you don't want to acknowledge is there. The Team at SOA have made this show an interesting ride. Sex Drugs Death and Redemption is what this show was about and it give it to us in ACES. If I had one thing I would have like to see, is a snap shot of the club a few years down the track without JAX, and all the chaos. I but I guess that is up to us and how we want them to be! To all the haters? I'm surprised you know enough about the show to be able to write such detailed information. You must have very boring and unfilled lives! why did you watch it at all? I'm sure Kurt wouldn't come to your place of work and slap the slushed out of your hand! In truth the show pushed us (as fans) to the limits, and as Fans we wanted to be push to the edge and look over into the abyss which was SOA. there will never be another show like SONS for years to come! Well played Kurt, Well played. Expand

This used to be good years ago, but now it's just dragging itself towards a very late end. The writing is bleak, empty, even the directing by Paris Barclay is now weak (that CGI scene... god that was AWFUL), and the actors are clearly tired of working on such a mediocre show. If the premiere is of any indication, this season could challange Dexter S8 and True Blood S7 as the worst final season ever. Expand

He sacrificed also potential for the episodes to draw the plot and the sequence in the length. A contender for cult destroys itself before it can become a major event. The reviews in my Fan-Forum all agree: Season 7 is bad! All had a great psychodrama expected a grand finale. Instead, the series mutates into a lengthy mass. Here separate the wheat from the chaff. While Gilligan managed to tie up to the last second, bored Sutter. He destroyed the entire work. Keep a low profile. Make quotas. Poor customer retention scheme. Very disappointing, underperforming! Sadly for a good series so far. Expand
