Jun 14, 20115Not as funny as I thought it would be. Family Guy is lightyears ahead of this.

Dec 25, 20110Somebody please make him stop, Seth McFarlane has yet again conceived a failed abortion spawned by his previous piece of garbage that isn't even as bad as this. He is not creative, has no taste in comedy, and is copying the Simpsons in plot structure (which Family Guy barley has) and the animation style. The Cleveland show is boring and tasteless like its director.
-
MattH.Oct 5, 200910People who don't get the ingenious hilarity of this show just don't understand humor.
-
-
Jul 4, 20113People who think this show is funny think that black tragedy is a joke. I got so bored watching it I had to force myself to continue. Lack of humor maybe?
-
BryanM.Oct 1, 20091Absolutely horrible... this guy is a hack. When will people wake up and realize he's the Dane Cook of animation?

RyanOOct 5, 20098Quite funny, as somebody who thought Family Guy has been losing steam and gradually stagnating, The Cleveland Show reminds me why I started watching McFarlane creations in the first place, absurd, weird, and altogether rude comedy that will offend if you aren't already laughing.
-
-
AndyM.Oct 19, 20090This show reminds me of the final episode of Seinfield - when viewers tuned in and watched, patiently for the jokes to be revealed. But the joke was on the viewer. Same with this miserable show. The only one laughing is Seth McFarland, and he's laughing at how much like sheep we really are.

CoreyOct 4, 20091I am a big fan of Family Guy and American Dad so I thought this could be good; it isn't. At all. In fact, it's absolutely awful. The 'jokes' appear to be Family Guy throwaways which weren't good enough to make that show and the show's characters come off as vaguely racist. Just... terrible.
-
-
PatrickCSep 28, 20092American Dad might have been too much when it came out. Now Family Guy is boring, American is too...NOW they come out with this??
-
-
RichardI.Sep 28, 20094I knew it was going to be bad, but wow, I never thought I'd get so bored I had to skip through the rest of the episode.

-
JoeDJan 11, 20109this show is hysterical and i don't really like family guy. good show
-
-
JohnCJan 10, 20100Pathetic, slow, unfunny. This show makes the American Dad Oscar material. Seth sold out and is using filler. Id rather watch shamwow commercials over and over and over.
-
-
JackM.Jan 12, 20102The jokes are not funny, the characters are very stale and boring, and the episodes are just stupidly written. It's pretty much a more rascist version of Family Guy. I'd rather watch Sit Down, Shut Up.

AdioA.Jan 25, 20108The cleveland show is great, but at the same time its not something the family guy fans would expect from the makers, my guess is because its not as racist as family guy was or is because its still with the cleveland show, try balancing both those shows at once and keeping a good audience for both.

-

AndrewMOct 19, 200910Funnier than Family Guy.
-
-
JTOct 3, 20091Why would they give the most un-funny character on 'Family Guy' his own show? I read somewhere that they have ordered 26 episodes to be made... hopefully they won't see the light of day.

RaulM.Sep 27, 20091I HATED this show. I find it hard to believe that the same people behind Family Guy created this show. Just unspeakably horrible. Offensively un-funny, stereotypical, straight-up WEIRD, ZERO chemistry between characters -- just a terrible debut. I don't see this picking up.

TomWSep 28, 20098It was pretty interesting, it's no family guy, but it was actually pretty hilarious. But remember this is a pilot episode, when i saw the show. I am looking forward to the new episode, and yes... Cleveland DOES Rock.

JoJoPSep 29, 20097This show was funnier than i thought itd be, its just like family guy, and the characters r mad funny.

-
MikeGSep 30, 20090This show was a pathetic attempt to bring more blacks to Seth McFarline's already mind boggling large fan base. But as it is the show is just more reason to be so confused as to how such terrible humor could have the large fan base it does have. All in all he show was complete and utter crap.
-
-
JoeS.Sep 30, 20090This show is horrible...first Family Guy...Then American Dad...now this crap...cant Seth MacFarlane think of anything original? All the shows are the same stupid things...a husband...hot wife...older sister who is the outcast...talking non human (Bear, Alien, Dog)...Seriously...come up with some original ideas instead of three of the same shows.
-

johnNov 18, 20090horrible not even watchable, so boring it can make your eyes fall out, i cant believe this is by the family guy crew. Horrible voices and terrible all around not entertaing

chrishDec 13, 20090i believe TCS is the worst show ever on the sunday night line up. not funny or entertaining at all, and none of the characters are interesting. theres been much better shows that got cancled, like War at home, or Futurama, Titus. lots of others hell i'd even rather watch PJs Projects. TCS is just terrible seriously the worst half hour of TV i watch and i'm very easily entertained.

SarahHSep 28, 20095While I was not at all blown away by the pilot, and was REALLY confused about why they added a bear to the list of characters- I think this might be one of those shows that needs a few episodes to figure out what exactly it is doing...I won't pass final judgment till the after the next episode.

NathanielCNov 22, 20090Been a fan of Family Guy since the very first episode, and I had hopes that the Cleveland Show would be entertaining, but I was so incredibly let down. It's awful the jokes suck and it's just trying to be the black Family Guy. It's just painful to watch. Hopefully FOX will cancel this fast and bring back King of the Hill
-
-
JDLNov 29, 20093Very mediocre - rips format 100% of Family Guy, but the jokes are even less funny and the show in general is dominated by a distasteful negative tone...relying on unfunny jokes about black people or being black while ironically enforcing and solidifying the images of these stereotypes in the mind of the viewer. King of the Hill was cancelled for this???
-
-
Oct 23, 20107It isn't as funny as Family Guy but Cleveland was one of my favourites from the show I was happy when he recieved his own. There are moments of brilliant humour and wit but I think the creators must of been running low towards the end of the series as the stories ran a bit dry. Still good, but not really DVD worthy.

Apr 10, 20118The Cleveland Show Is Actually Really Good. A Good Spin-Off You Say? Yes!
The Voices Are Outstanding As Well As The Story Lines This Was The Best Show Of 2009! -

Jun 4, 20114Cleveland lacks humor. All the Jokes are not funny. How can Seth Macfarlane think this is worth airing? Cleveland himself tries to be funny but after his jokes you think 'What the Hell' are you meant to laugh. Rallo and Cleveland Brown Jr are the only ones I find remotely, the Rest of the Cast is boring.
-
Jul 5, 20114This show is an unsuccessful spin off of Family Guy. From the first episode it didn't have as good writing as Family Guy or the jokes that Family Guy has.
-
Jul 16, 20117I very much like this show, better than American Dad imo, but not as good as family guy, there are some good jokes but only a few per episode
-
Aug 14, 20110Family guy sucks but this is so much worse, fox needs to stop jerking off to seth macfarlane. All his shows are the same dam thing their just about stupid disfunctional families. Seth Macfarlane is untalented in every way possible he needs to crawl under a rock and die because im sick of him and im not the only person that thinks so.
-
BrianMOct 16, 200910Funny, but not funnier than family guy.
-
-
AdamB.Sep 30, 20097I actually kinda liked this show its just the first episode so it was setting up everything for the show but i definitely think family guy is better.

JKSep 28, 20092This show wasn't at all funny. Why they would make a spinoff series with the most boring character on the show (besides Meg of course) is beyond me.
-
-
MikeNSep 28, 20090This was terrible. I'm going to watch a few more episodes in case it gets better but more to see how much of a lazy copy of the other two shows it ends up being.

Sep 8, 20115I was never a huge Cleveland fan. When I found out he'd be getting his own spin-off, I was sceptical. Turns out I was right, it's very disappointing. It makes Family Guy and American Dad look like The Simpsons....in terms of quality, I mean.
-
May 15, 20135
-
Mar 17, 20127It is unnecessary because Cleveland shouldn't have left Family Guy in the first place, but it has a few funny parts to make up for it.
-
Feb 5, 20121I have no idea who the clowns were that made Seth McDoucheLane make a third horrible show. Family guy was decent a decade ago, but it's been awful since it came back on air, and now everyone worships it as some pinnacle of humor when it's just gross-out humor with bad 80's movie ripoffs.
If you're looking for a good cartoon, don't watch this. -
Jan 10, 20120A third Seth McFarlane show on Fox Sunday nights? Give me a break already.
It's the same tired formula, weak jokes, and obscure references to stuff nobody cares about now and nobody cared about 10-20 years ago when it still had some limited relevance.
Fox needs to dump this turd already. -
May 8, 20126I honestly did not think user reviews would be that bad. I actually thought the show was funny, Not as funny as family guy but still solid enough to keep watching an entire season of the show. The Cleveland Show does a lot of things different when compared to family guy and I appriciate that. It's not the best show around but I still like it.
-
Feb 18, 20120Why was this made. Family Guy is played out, and this is just a really, really, really bad version of Family Guy. Shame on fox for letting McFarlane take a dump and call it television. This show, is making America dumber by the second. Disgusting

May 29, 20129I Love The Cleveland Show No It's Not Family Guy But It's Pretty Close!
The 1st Season Is A Little Dry (8/10)
But Season 2 Was Amazing! (10/10) -
Jun 2, 20120Absolutely horrible, Not only is it a copy of Family Guy, but it's also worse, and that's saying a lot considering the state of Family Guy today. MacFarlene should stop making TV series.
-
Jan 30, 20136Please keep in mind, this is NOT Family Guy. Comparing the two will make you disappointed. But on its own, its not bad. Not great either. OK, I need more characters to submit this......done
-
Oct 19, 20120The Cleveland show IS THE MOST PATHETIC SPIN OFF EVER and here's why it's too racist, the plot was too quick and the jokes are pathetic I mean I loved Cleveland on Family Guy but when he gets his own spin off it would be too stupid so just end this series Seth McFarlane just this one
-

The new show is more conventional and warm-hearted--but only slightly. If I had to sum up the humor in one word, it would be "random."
-
60Cleveland has a few delightfully outrageous moments, along with several that are gratuitously gross ("hot fur," anyone?), but its most disconcerting element is its significant resemblance to "Family Guy."
-
70Actually the dimly befuddled Cleveland works pretty well as a foil to the collection of redneck psycho neighbors, oversexed stepchildren and Russian bears (don't ask) who make up the cast.
