John Grisham may be turning in his grave if he had one...or least biting his lip for this DRY remake. Cancel! Left a review because I'm a Grisham and Firm admirer and hate to see something great get defaced. zzzzzz!

@chughead, if you are such a big Grisham fan, you would know that he was involved in this project and approves of it. If you think it is a poor continuation of the storyline, you have Grisham to blame for approving of it. The show is good but it just doesn't seem like something that can be carried over to a second season. Once the issues with Mitch's new firm and the mob get resolved (this can't be dragged out over multiple seasons), they will simply be left with a procedural legal drama that likely would not last. The Firm is a suspenseful thriller which does a great job at expanding the story of the McDeere family. Of course its another instance of them getting involved with an overly-watchful and controlling firm, but it wouldn't be The Firm without it!! I think the casting is well thought out and acting is above average. The direction of the show is also well done and makes you wonder what will happen next. With all the boring reality shows that continue to pervade the tube, I am glad to see a show worth watching. Expand

Excellent suspenseful show befitting of a Grisham novel. Although the flashbacks style can be a bit irritating at times, nonetheless the writing, acting and plot lines are riveting, especially for network tv.

  1. At least Lewis appeared to be having fun, which can't be said of anyone else in this rather grim production.

Lucas is actually quite good as Mitch, as is Molly Parker as his wife, Abby. The issue lies more with the mechanics of the plot.

Mitch just might be the stupidest attorney ever depicted on TV.
