Fans get a new look at an old favorite with The Vampire Diaries season 7, giving us the chance to fall in love with the show all over again, despite the absence of Nina Dobrev.
Loving this season, even without Elena, and possibly even more with her departure given how the remaining characters have to now face themselves and one another. It's become more unpredictable & emotionally complex. Movie quality production levels and Freudian mind-benders make for a suspenseful & gripping vamp drama, grown out of what used to be a more popcorn teen-vamp drama. Yes, there's plenty of guilty pleasure eye candy to behold which we love, but it was time to grow and I'm glad to see the writers, directors, actors...whole TVD team taking it to the next level! And loving the interplay with The Originals too!
So far it has been as awesome as I've imagined. New creatures, epic storyline, awesome characters, great duels, intense suspence, sweet romance...I can go on all day. TVD 5 is perfect like its predecessor season 7
Has always been one of my favorite shows but I really wanted Elena and Damon to be super Vamps. I knew when they allowed her to take the cure it was all over. I hated that part.
However... as long as Caroline, Bonnie and Alaric have a really great story line it may save the show. Caroline having the twins may just do it. Bonnie needs a good story. They torment that poor girl. Something good has to happen for her. They need to make her a super witch again and let her super powers save everyone.
This show should have been cancelled already. It's time for the Winchesters to come into town and do what they do best, take out the vampires. It looks like half the cast would be happy to die at their hands.
It had a few good seasons, but they've run out of inspiration. But it's still making money as a supernatural soap opera, so it continues with whatever hack stories they can throw at it.
