Emily is told to help a new engine named Whiff. Emily is mortified when she sees how smelly and scruffy he is. The other engines tease her for being around him so she tries to run away from Whiff.

Spencer arrives on the island and is quick to tease Thomas for not being as fast, strong or shiny as he is. Thomas is determined to prove him wrong.

James is taking the Mayor of Sodor to a festival and wishes to keep clean instead of helping his friends out.

Hector is a very horrid coal hopper. Thomas soon has enough of the truck's rude behaviour and learns that Hector is only horrid because he is scared.

The engines can't go anywhere until some broken points can be repaired. Gordon is given the task of collecting an engineer to the broken points.

Henry is the only engine not being held up by snow because of some trucks which he believes to be 'lucky'. His luck runs out when his 'lucky trucks' go missing and he goes off to find them.

Thomas wants to go a festival with his friends, but he needs to deliver a new bulb for the lighthouse first. He wants to get the job done quickly so he can get to the festival, but finds out rushing his job wasn't the best idea.

Thomas plays jokes on the narrow gauge engines instead of doing his job correctly.

A famous magician is coming to perform on Sodor and Thomas is so excited about his grand finale that he rushes his work and does things wrong because he did not listen.

The Mayor of Sodor is having a new sailing boat launched and Thomas is charged with delivering it to the ceremony. However, when the sail comes loose, Thomas finds himself unable to stop at the harbour.

A new engine called Billy arrives and Thomas must show him around. Billy is too excited to listen and mistakes Thomas' friendly advice for Thomas bossing him about.

Percy is at the Works, so Edward has to take the mail for him instead. The others all think that Edward is very wise and knows everything, and this makes Edward ashamed to ask for help when he does not know how to take the mail.

While Thomas and Percy wait for an important cargo ship at the docks Thomas suggests a game of Hide and Peep. Cranky wants to play but Thomas tells him that he would be no good at hiding.

Toby is chosen to take famous opera singer Allicia Botti to her concert, but he is worried that he will make a mess of it.

Thomas tries to avoid Diesel, 'Arry and Bert while delivering some of Sodor's famous stinky cheese.

Percy has to take Dowager Hatt's luggage to the airport, but he thinks it's an easy and boring job and keeps putting it off until it's almost too late.

Duncan teases Madge the Snub-nosed Lorry for being boring. Madge attempts to prove Duncan wrong, but ends up putting both of them in great danger.

Skarloey overcomes his fear of thunder to rescue some sheep.

Madge spends so much time making sure Skarloey and Rheneas are cleaned properly for a engine rally, that she runs late with her own special job.
