The potential definitely is there for a bloody good finale. The setup is intriguing enough.

There are still too many characters to keep track of, and their numbers are only growing.... [But] There's a clever twist involving Eric that could set up an exciting arc for Sookie.

Headaches will be induced just in trying to unravel the plot mess Bon Temps finds itself in. At least this will be the last headache.

For the most part, cable series haven’t been as guilty as their network brethren of overstaying an invitation, but this is one hit show that probably should have breathed its last a couple of years ago.

I was skeptical when the new show runner Brian Buckner said that this final season would return back to how it was when it first started but after seeing the premiere all of the skepticism was gone. This feels exactly like season 1 and 2. There are some things that they can't go back to but for the most part it's almost exactly like the earlier seasons. I'm so excited to see how the rest of this season plays out. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The thing that makes this different from any of the past few seasons is that there's a real sense of danger. Main characters are dying, or are in danger of dying. We're only one episode into this season and main characters are dead, and I'm sure that the body count is going to keep piling up all season long. It makes a show that was on the brink of becoming boring now is new and fresher than ever. Also the side stories seem more connected to the main plot unlike in season 5 with Sookie hanging out with fairies or Terry's smoke monster. Excluding Pam's search for Eric. Jason and Violet searching for the Hep-V vampires or Bill and Andy doing the same thing. James talking about his best friends death gives him more depth as a character. I think he had more lines of dialogue in that scene than what he had all of last season. This season definitely looks promising. Can't wait for more. Expand

Strong season premiere. Didn't disappoint me like I thought it would. Best season premiere since season 3. I hope the rest of the season is this good.

I won't lie: I watched this show for the sex. The shots were always extremely sexy and well produced. By the end of this abysmal season that explained nothing, and mindlessly killed off characters; I finally realized how stupid my reasoning for watching the show really was. If you have yet to watch this season, save your time and money for something more meaningful. How saddening to be a fan. Expand

This show has become so bad that I would be very very surprised if it got renewed for another season after this. The amount of melodrama, pointless nonexistent plot, and a strange combination of over and under acting from several of the cast portray a show that is running on fumes and has nowhere else to go. Thank GOD this series is finally ending. It was pretty cool the first 3 seasons, then went into an nosedive of stupidity. Seasons 5 and 6 were almost unwatchable. Expand

I love true blood. I mean I really love it. This show is so good that it inspires people, It motivates people, If a person is down it brings them up, People look forward to watching the episodes because each episode is better than the last and it just keeps getting better and better season after season, The show truly has magic and having to watch what they did with the last season is really unbelievable, How can you ruin such a wonderful show with such a bad ending season, I cant even watch the episodes of the last season because it is so bad when compared with the other seasons that it gets me mad, Who wrote this last season? Who approved it? How can you ruin such a good show ? Shame on you, Expand
