My favourite FM game in years. I have an older machine which struggled with fm 14 and this one seems to run like a dream on it. People who moan are the kind of people who are useless at thegame.
Best FM so far bar none. Have been some complaints the game doesn't have too many new amazing features but that's doing a massive disservice to the game itself. The match engine is better than ever. The transfer AI is better than ever. The way information appears for the user and the ease you can navigate around the game is now better than ever.
I've never seen the match engine react so well to my instructions - I've just beaten Juventus with a weaker side playing intelligent counter-attacking football. It's like Mourinho when everybody still thought he was a good manager! If you want to get the closest you'll ever get to managing a professional football side this is it.
It really is about time people started calling out Sega and SI on Football Manager. Once again, we have a game here which is nothing more than an over-elaborate spreadsheet that ignores your instructions.
This is a manager game. It's a good manager game, but it's also a niche game. It's page up and down of statistics, numbers and what not. For the most part you'll sit with the feeling that it doesn't really matter what you tell your players to do, just like in real football (those who has had the pleasure of being a coach knows the feeling).
In conclusion, since this is a pretty **** review, I laugh out loud to the idiots claiming the game hasn't evolved. It's a FOOTY MANAGER GAME! It's been more or less like this since the 90's and still going strong. Some games aren't supposed to change much, and this is one of those games.
Is it that time of the year again already? You can basically copy and paste my last two fm reviews in here and have the same result. It's fine the game is finethe only reason to buy 17 is if you have not got 16 or must have the latest version of the game. There is literally nothing added this year and what has been added is either crap or not worth paying full price for again. So if you just want a fm game get a previous version with a custom database.
Final Verdict 4/10
Not a bad game but it is now getting to the point where the series is getting lazier than FIFA
I've been playing every single FM, so I'm not being a biased moaner.
Take FM16. Play it for months. Manage to enjoy it, after the usual February patch.
Then comes November, and with 55 euros you can get FM16 upgraded to the 2016/17 season with a bit of graphical charmes.
Not worth the money.
Summary2,500 real clubs to manage and over 500,000 real footballers and staff to sign. Full control of transfers and decide who plays, and who sits on the bench. You'll follow the match live with our acclaimed 3D match engine.
