Minus any little issues, Lara Croft Go is another winner from Square Enix Montreal.

Lara Croft GO is a very interesting take on the Tomb Raider concept. Its puzzle and adventure mix works really well on mobile, no matter if you've played any Tomb Raider game before.

Lara Croft GO embraces what worked so well for Hitman GO and adds everyone's favorite Tomb Raider.

Lara Croft GO is clearly the product of a love for what the Tomb Raider series used to mean.

I’m not 100 percent certain this will win over people who don’t find the overarching GO concept worthwhile, but if anything, the execution here is even more impressive than it was the first time out.

A very well designed, beautiful-looking puzzle game that, while occasionally fiendishly tricky, is thoroughly enjoyable to play. It hits just the right balance of being tough, but not so difficult that you'll want to throw down your iOS device in frustration: the solution is always staring at you in the face.

Lara Croft Go is a fantastic puzzle game where we have to move to the famous archaeologist by a board, box to box, to live one of his great adventures. Fresh, original and very addictive. And with a fantastic design.

In the world of mobile games F2P is the king. Every once in a while you'll be positively surprised, when someone releases a real game, that you can buy with a single purchase. Lara Croft GO is a prime example of a mobile game done right, both in pricing and game design. It utilizes the platform's strong sides instead of being just a forced console port. [Oct 2015]

Lara Croft Go emphasizes cunning and exploration, not challenge, but this doesn’t make it a pushover.

If you’ve already played Square Enix Montreal’s previous game, Hitman GO, their take on Lara’s adventures will not surprise you. It’s a simple but addictive and satisfying puzzle game that would work equally great without Lara. [11/2015, p.65]

Lara Croft GO is a well crafted puzzle game, with clever design and lovely visuals: the only letdown is that the credits roll a little bit too soon.

Lara Croft GO is a perfect on-the-go game. The loungey music and the fact that things only happen when you step forward, makes it a very relaxing game to play. It is a bit short, but thankfully the makers came up with some pretty difficult levels at the end, which take a bit longer to figure out.

Surprisingly, this mobile game is really able to portrait the original spirit of Tomb Raider. A bit too easy, but remarkably done.

While it retains the same turn-based style of gameplay as Hitman Go, it knows full well what kind of pacing and approach to action makes a Tomb Raider game what it is, and bends the structure of the puzzles to convey this with an engaging consistency, looking great while it does so.

Lara Croft Go is a nice surprise: the turn-based gameplay works well even for an hardcore adventurer like Lara, and the puzzles are really good. The learning curve is excellent, and there are no dull moments. The in-app purchases are not annoying, which is definitely a plus.

An excellent example how to adapt a major series to a mobile platform. Pocket-sized Lara excels with turn-based gameplay, puzzles and visuals. Add a free expansion and you have a game you can recommend even to players not familiar with Tomb Raider series.

Lara Croft: GO is a game that uses its own limitations for good and doesn’t hold off on vibe and lore. A truly enjoyable puzzle game with a great sense of style. [Oct. 2015, p. 055]

Lara Croft GO is a great adventure-puzzler, filled with clever problems that require either a nice amount of thought or a lot of trial and error, and usually end up with a good combination of both being used before finally earning a victory.

Lara Croft GO is high quality product for fans of puzzle games. Eidos Montreal has created a pretty, atmospheric and a very well designed and engrossing (well, in the second half) game. At the beginning it doesn't shine but soon everything falls into place - except the price (a bit too high) and length (a bit too short).

Lara Croft Go is a good step forward for Square Enix Montreal. It takes all the good things that we saw on Hitman Go and introduces new mechanics and variants on the puzzles. It’s a game that really shines among other games that we can find on iOS App Store.

If you’re looking for something a little different in the mobile space, I can’t recommend this game enough. Just be warned: The puzzle difficulty is designed to mess with your mind and push you to think outside of the box…or boot up YouTube to watch someone else solve it.

Lara Croft GO is quite a good way to live another expedition with the iconic heroin on smartphones and tablets. This clever (but a bit easy) puzzle game shows great graphics, amazing atmosphere and reminds us of the PS1 era of the ponytailed adventurer.

Like Hitman GO before it, Lara Croft GO proves to be a brilliant reimagining of a classic franchise. It may not have the tense atmosphere of the newer Tomb Raider games, but that's part of the reason that GO succeeds. It successfully illustrates the versatility of the franchise as a whole, showing that it can work as a soothing puzzle game just as well as an action-packed, nerve-wracking platformer.

Lara Croft GO nails all of the elements that make for an enticing mobile title: Fun in small chunks, visually appealing, and thought-provoking, Lara Croft GO can provide hours of enjoyment for a small entry fee.

Where Lara Croft GO surprised me was in improving on the Hitman GO formula I loved in a few crucial ways, without losing anything I liked about it other than the tabletop-style presentation and the Ave Maria.

Enjoyable and immersive mobile adventure with Lara Croft. The fact that I wish there were more to it is a testament to how much fun I had with it. While it's not always as challenging as I might hope, it still offers plenty of fun for puzzle fans.

The art design and atmosphere of this puzzle adventure remind me Monument Valley. There is no story though, no alternative paths and too many collectibles.

A VERY fun game, but inferior to Hitman Go in almost every single way.

LC Go is more "modern video game" in it's animations and presentation, but this is actually a strong negative. Hitman Go, I played to 100% excuse it was just that fun. Lara Croft Go introduces lengthy animation and longer stages which brings with it the requisite WAITING that plagues video games. Every time Lara picks up a treasure, you have to wait about five seconds while the game shows you what you picked up. 5 seconds sounds short, but in a game like LC Go, it is FOREVER. This might sound nitpicky, but realize, this isn't necessary. It could just as easily NOT be there.

The worst aspects of LC Go are the way that it treats "special content". In Hitman, the game tracked your total number of moves and gave you alternate objectives on every board. LC Go does not do this, instead having you point at and tap "hidden" treasures on every board. This can be a tiny bit of fun, but i you miss one, there is nothing but annoyance at having to play an entire board over again just to find the one you missed. This is the complete opposite reason why 'special content" should exist. Getting 100% should be fun, as it was in Hitman. Not tedious.

If nothing else, it's great to see true Lara again.
