A fast-paced and engaging tappy shooter that looks stunning. It might be a little too simple for some, but there's a neat high score chasing rhythm here that's hard to ignore.

There is so much here in terms of unlockable weapons and upgrades. There’re also the great production values and a story that’s actually worth exploring. However, it’s all tempered significantly by the game’s freemium system.

Industrial Toys has achieved what it set out to do. It's created a mobile FPS that not only works, but one that offers an enjoyable challenge, a fleshed out comic book infused sci-fi universe, and enough player rivalry to keep you coming back for more. And although this fantastic shooter will be tarnished with the unattractive elements that the free-to-play model brings with it, I’ll undoubtedly be plugging away on the leaderboards with my standard issue arsenal for some time to come.

Midnight Star might feel a tad watered down to the hardcore console FPS gamer, but even those guys will appreciate the basic approach that Industrial Toys has taken in an effort to reduce friction as much as possible.

A polished-looking but shallow shooter that still has a long way to go, even compared to its iOS competition.

Midnight Star has the guts to go for a new approach to the mobile First-Person Shooter genre, and while it's certainly innovative, it's just not that much fun.

Midnight Star sure looks promising, but comes up short in execution with extremely watered down gameplay that is too bland, and repetitive to recommend.
