While we would have liked to hear (and feel) more from the audio, the combination of soothing yet tense gameplay and the gorgeous landscapes that gently ebb and breathe, makes On the Wind a very easy recommendation to make.

While it's relaxing to guide your leaves harmoniously through the seasons, not much else is going on in this intriguing take on the endless runner genre.

Originality is all but impossible in the modern age, so let's just blow over where On the Wind draws its inspirations from and how heavily. What matters is that it's beautiful to look at, fun to play, and challenging enough to keep me coming back for more than a few goes. Still, one hopes the developer's next game isn't called Voyage.

Featuring a pleasant aesthetic, simple gameplay, and intuitive touch controls, On The Wind is a relaxing journey that's a breeze to play.

Taken as a whole, On the Wind falls on the good side of the "stupid games" concept that the New York Times Magazine recently devoted its cover story to. It distracts you with a challenge, but soothes you with its graphics and music. Anyone needing a five minute vacation from the real world will find a good one in On the Wind.

On the Wind delivers a fascinating concept, conveyed through charming looks and soothing sound: however, as a simple game, it falls short on content and ends up being more of a delicate time-waster than a true entertainer.

An artsy, hypnotic little curiosity that's as slight as a summer's breeze.

If you're willing to overlook the fact that movement in the game can sometimes be genuinely frustrating, On The Wind is a pleasant way to wile away your time.

The gameplay feels a tad familiar, but it's also rather addictive, so it's hard to fault it too much on that. Combine the fun you'll have with the great art style and mood presented, and On the Wind is a game that's easily worth checking out for those whose curiosity has been piqued.

On The Wind tangles up the controls, which is a shame considering how great it looks in motion. There is definitely an audience for this kind of endless runner set in more mellow scenery.
