  1. One of the most rounded and comprehensive packages you're ever likely to see, something that makes it worthy of recommendation to all discerning Pokefans out there.

Pokémon fans can't go wrong with Stadium 2. You can work out your home-grown Pokémon in N64 color, and the Transfer Pak enables you to play any Game Boy Pokémon game on a big screen.

It looks pretty, and is an impressive game -- but is ONLY for Pokemon fiends.
  4. 75
The Pokemon Academy section of the game was brilliant, and the mini-games are a lot more fun. What it boils down to is this: Did you play through Gold or Silver? Did you enjoy battling? If so, you will love this game. If you did not, pass.
  5. If you do have a Transfer Pak, want to get more out of Gold or Silver, and enjoy a lot of battling, then Stadium 2 is a complete package and is definitely worth picking up.
  6. Really, the whole cartridge is more like an added gimmick to the Game Boy games than an actual stand alone product.
  7. Probably the biggest problem with Pokemon Stadium 2 is its longevity. The entire game is based around battles. There is no adventure or quest to go on like in the Game Boy games.

And you cannot transfer Pokémon from other games to a Gen II game until that game's save file has at least 150 mons in the Pokédex.

It's a blast to plow through a Gen I game at 4x speed and beat everything in an afternoon, especially when you can transfer a team over from a different game and have a custom team from early on. But this capability was taken away from Gen II games, probably in an attempt to keep things fair in the competitive scene back in the day. It's kind of a crappy limitation, so you should be aware of it before putting dozens of hours into unlocking Dodrio mode like I did.
