Dec 5, 2018One of the main nominees for the title of the game with worst level design, the worst storyline, worst facial animation, worst character design, worst quests design, worst gameplay ever...Shorter, Mass Effect: Andromeda - a piece of sh*!

Mar 21, 2017This deserves no Mass Affection.
I keep it short:
ME1, ME2, ME3 are about story, characters, species and relations between the latter two.
ME Andromeda tries to be the same, but it also includes new gameplay layers due to its focus on an outdated openworld concept. The result: It fails at both ME's core elements (see above) and at being a great openworld game.
Sad, but true. -

Mar 22, 2017Dragon Age: Inquisition 2.0, now with space travel!
Such bad animations
Really poor dialog
Lots of fetch quests, without meaningful choices & consequences.
AI gets in the way. How did AI get this bad?
Only good thing from the game is the feel of the combat. -
Mar 25, 2017Imagine all the worst things about Mass Effect 1. Now add in the maps from Dragon Age Inquisition and the crafting system as well. Now you've pretty much got the ME:Andromeda experience. Sprinkle in some bad animations and poor voice acting and you've got it.

May 17, 2018This is what happens when you trust and give responsibilities to SJC's (Social Justice Cowards)... Gamers wanted Ivanka, BioWare is giving them Chelsea...

Mar 24, 2017Reasons to buy
- It's called Mass Effect
Reasons NOT to
- It is boring
- The story is cheesy
- The animations are a joke
- The graphics were downgraded
- The characters,specially the women,are horrible
- It was made by SJWs
Now,if you still want to buy it,it will be your problem. I did my part to advertise you. -
Mar 21, 2017I don't understand how people are giving this a 10 on here and posting that it has lag and animation problems in the same review. What does 10 mean to you?
Bad animations
Bad character models
Bad scaling
Weak dialog
Terrible voice acting
Decent combat
Boring scan ability that pads game time -
Mar 24, 2017It's too boring yet it can be fun
It's VERY repetitive, what you do from the start of the game you do 10 hours later, the same **** New area: Kill a bunch of people, talk with people, kill a bunch of more people,do some retarded stuff and go to the new place. the fighting is fun but that's all there really is,the animations and voice acting is **** for such a high budget game. really dissapointing. -

Mar 21, 2017Game is buggy
AI sometimes goes in a T pose in combat.
Bad animations
Bad dialog
Bad writing
Bad dialog wheel
MP uses p2p instead of dedicated servers. -
Mar 21, 2017It's really just Mass Effect: Badly. Badly written, badly animated, badly rendered. There is no patching their way out of this. There's no talent left at Bioware capable of doing better than this. Time to let the franchise and the studio die while they can still be remembered fondly.
-
Mar 21, 2017Complete Mess.
This "game" is rushed cash-grab made by completely different people than ME trilogy. Aside from obvious technical flaws and bugs it also panders to SJW community which already ruined enough things in this world. -

Mar 21, 2017They really expect that people should buy this mess at full price when it's so unfinished. And don't even get me started on the looks part.
A decade from now people will still remember Commander Shepard but who will really remember Mcgeneric and his/hers ugly animations. -
Apr 4, 2017Didn't quite believe all the negative reviews about the bad animations and had to try for myself. They were right. The bad animations are on a level where they ruin the the playability and immersion of the game. Tried to play through but kept on getting headaches from the weird animations and bad dialogue. Possibly one of the worst Bioware games I have played.

Mar 21, 2017joke animations
joke dialogue
joke writing
boring gameplay
decent multiplayer
This is just a bland MMORPG, nothing more. Maybe I have unreasonable expectations on BioWare, I'll remember next time. BioWare is only a second-tier studio now. -
Mar 21, 2017This is not Mass Effect i knew. Doesn't even look like AAA project. Fan-fic writing, awkward dialogues, lame jokes, outdated graphics and animations, casual combat, boring side-quests. There are better games to buy. Shame.
-
Mar 21, 2017This game just isn't sucking me in, horrible story, horrible dialog, buggy ai.

Mar 21, 2017Terrible writing, terrible story, terrible animations, terrible characters, terrible voice acting and bland, boring combat.

Mar 21, 2017So many bugs! Crashes and graphical glitches. Weird animation and cameras which get stuck in dialogue scenes and won't follow the character, NPCs and companions who freeze and don't respond, and worst of all, save game corruptions. This game is not release ready.

Mar 21, 2017A total disaster. Poorly optimization, plenty of bugs. A bland story without soul, stupid characters, technical flaws in the animations that destroy emotional involvement with them and changes in combat that make them simpler than the previous ones. A turd covered with silk. A loss of money and time.
-
Mar 21, 2017If you were looking for an overhyped flop, you came to the right place. Not quite on the same level as No Mans Sky, but still and avoid-at-all-costs game, at least for right now. Horrible writing and animations and bugs upon bugs upon bugs ruin what could have been a good game. Another Bioware miss.
-
Mar 21, 2017This isn't even a RPG anymore its a shooter game now, Bioware has chased the CoD market. To also mention that game has lame writing, bad animations & poor AI.

Mar 21, 2017Who let this game pass quality control? This game is worse than ME1, game is big and looks ok though the rest of the game is so bad. AI is poor like others said, companions freeze sometimes.

Mar 21, 2017This game like 9 season "scrubs", should not have existed.
Quests, characters, animations, story - so f%ng bad, especially for Bioware.
Mass Effect: Inquisition. Nuff said. -
Mar 21, 2017Lackluster game.
Can't get into story poorly written.
Stunning view of worlds and fun combat though, fun to drive around and MP is like ME3.
Hope to see dlc that add better written characters and animations fixed in a patch,
Animations need improvement. -

Mar 24, 2017If for some reason you needed more proof that Bioware is a now corpse-shell worn by unqualified SWJs pretending to be real developers, here is your Exhibit A through to F.
Horrible writing, awful combat and animation bugs we would mock in an indy title let alone a full price triple-A release. Utterly disgraceful. -

Mar 21, 2017Abysmally written story, one Bioware dev said it would have meaningful choices like in Witcher 3. Sadly that is not the case full of fetch quests like Dragon Age Inquisition and emotionless characters. Dialog is horrible.
Shame on Bioware, last game from them I'll ever buy.

Mar 21, 2017Bioware does an amazing job at making a lifeless game with depth and visuals straight out of 2003 Unsurprisingly pushed into hands of the feeble minded masses by boss EA. My time with Bioware has now ended.
-

Mar 22, 2017The amount of critical bugs, visual design problems, and so many of the things that made the other Mass Effect games great being left out- causes the game to miss the mark.

Mar 25, 2017Полная фигня, жалею, что потратил деньги. В игре нет ничего от серии, сплошная шляпа. Я играл целую неделю, наиграл 80 часов, а что толку? Хочу это развидеть.
-
Mar 22, 2017Gameplay didn't change much from Me3.
Animations are bad.
Character customization lacks polishing.
very repetitive.
Dialogues are clichés.
The mood is more of a basic Action-Comedy movie than an epic game settings.
The world is very empty.
I would have preferred to wait another year to have a good game, than receiving this right now. -
Mar 21, 2017I'm fan boy of original Mass Effect trilogy., not some random hater.
I have no words, it's just horrible in all possible way compare too original mass effect series. -
Mar 22, 2017
-
Mar 21, 2017They have a lot of balls to release something like this after the stunt they pulled with ME 3.
Did they progressively delude themselves to think it would be fine regardless of how low the quality of product is? Its as if they were sheltered people that have never played any other decent game to be able to make a comparison and see just how ridiculous everything turned out to be. -
Mar 21, 2017So many bugs! Crashes and graphical glitches. Weird animation and cameras which get stuck in dialogue scenes and won't follow the character, NPCs and companions who freeze and don't respond, and worst of all, save game corruptions. This game is not release ready.
-
Mar 21, 2017A developer with such an attitude towards buyers is not applicable. Joke animations, joke voice acting, joke story. The game should have been labeled as an indie game with the appropriate price tag. Instead of delaying the game to port to another frostbite engine, they had decided to release it with awfully load of bugs on the 21st of March.
-
Mar 21, 2017Poorly optimized PC port. The gameplay is the only redeeming quality of Mass Effect Andromeda, but even that is locked at 30 fps. You'd think this game was developed by an indie studio on a small budget.

Jun 5, 2017Postcard-pretty landscapes is pretty much all that there is good about Andromeda. They serve as backdrops for a boring, cliche-ridden, somewhat demented story with forgettable characters and even more forgettable missions.
-
May 11, 2017Enough of the classic Mass Effect, with enough new mechanics to keep the game fresh. [Hollingworth; Issue#261, p.55]
-
Edge MagazineApr 27, 2017An earnest attempt has been made to create a new identity for a series here, but the question of how to best frame Mass Effect's narrative strengths is, once again, left open. [June 2017, p.90]
