Targeted at Japanese players? Anyway, it's an annoying TBS game with horrible controls and cheap graphics, with Japanese voice-overs and hard-to-learn rules. 3/10

Pros: - there seems to be a complex and deep battle system in there if you have the patience to learn it (judging from other reviews and the sheer size of the in-built game manual) So-so: - the anime graphics (chibi
Targeted at Japanese players? Anyway, it's an annoying TBS game with horrible controls and cheap graphics, with Japanese voice-overs and hard-to-learn rules. 3/10

    Pros:
    - there seems to be a complex and deep battle system in there if you have the patience to learn it (judging from other reviews and the sheer size of the in-built game manual)

    So-so:
    - the anime graphics (chibi girls) - if you are a fan of Japanese pop culture it may be your cup of tea but if you're indifferent (like myself), it's generally a turn-off.
    - similarly, the high-pitch female Japanese voice-overs get annoying fast. They could at least make English voice-overs - then it would be tolerable, but still way off for a TBS game. Again, it may be just what Japanese players want

    Cons:
    - horrible controls. To simply move a unit you need to first right click to bring a full-screen menu, press "MOVE", then press somewhere. Same with every "skill". Instead, move should have been implemented with a simple click or even a drag, and for "skills" (spells, actions) there should have been an action bar like in World of Warcraft or Baldur's Gate or whatever.
    - impenetrable GUI - characters have tons of stats but it's unclear what all them mean because the words are all shortened to just 3 letters like "ATK" (attack?), with no mouse-over explanation or anything
    - cheap-looking combination of "billboard"-style 2D sprite characters and 3D terrain tiles with a simplistic monochrome texture to indicate terrain type. The chibi anime girls are actually good, and they create a stark contrast with the rest of the game, making it look even worse.
    - oh man, and the endless linear dialogs between static anime characters - I could at least tolerate this in porn games but here... Can you please fire all those writers who write this nonsense? I can't imagine that any player would enjoy reading this. Or at least please make the "skip" button more visible (I only noticed it after a while).
    - the music is annoying. Some tracks are just what you'd probably hear in a restaurant from a guy playing piano or something. Just ridiculous for a TBS game

Overall: definitely skip it unless you are a Japanese and love chibi girls anime.

Moekuri is a hardcore tactical RPG wrapped in ultra-cute packaging. It's a bit rough around the edges, and the difficulty curve will probably alienate a lot of folks, but if you can look past those things you’ll find a lot of depth and enjoyment.
