Oct 27, 2015A brilliant procedural shooter with amazing replayability that has an high challenge level and requires quite a lot of skill to be appreciated. Considering the low price, there's really not much to complain about. It's pretty classical when it comes to gameplay, but the variety of the bosses and the weapons keep the experience fresh, fight after fight.

But there is a lot of strategy to the game, you get to carry two weapons at a time, but some weapons are only good in certain situations, often the wrong combination of weapons will land you in heaps of trouble! lol Or at the very least cause you to miss out on alot of points, a good rule of thumb is to never carry similar type weapons, like for example torpedos & homing missiles, I used them once and unfortunately the screen got loaded with enemies, both of those weapons are not very fast so I only killed like 20% of them, and wound up taking some damage.... After each boss fight you get opportunities to upgrade your ship, or guns, or score, personally I am still trying to figure out what works best for me.... The shooter is a lot of fun, but its not perfect, there are little things I can nitpick, but the only one that I think holds the game back a little is the graphics, they are charming and all, but definitely not original, they don't hurt the game at all, the gameplay rocks, but I do think some better graphics would make the game better. so that's why I took off a couple points.… Full Review »

The weapons are varied and satisfying, and the bosses' otherwise Bullet Hell-like shot patterns are fixed and learnable with practice. Though I lament the lack of Rogue-lite progression, Steredenn seems ultimately very possible to finish. I'll simply have to get gud.… Full Review »
