Incredible squad based turn based fantasy game. The squad based part is particularly important here - it's unique, it's highly customizable, and it's just FUN. You can make balanced squads, tanky squads, all mage squads... whatever you want and whatever your army needs.

Beyond that, the story is quite good, the graphics are charming and retro, and there are a good number of battles in

Absurdo, fácilmente el mejor RPG táctico estilo Fire Emblem creado. Me niego a hacer spoilers o explicar nada, si te gusta el estilo de la saga mencionada es compra obligada (y cuanto más a ciegas vayas mejor)

the game is really interesting because he feels original: your tactical rpg is here not only about men, but squads of men. So each squad (and you will have many) is different since they can include up to 9 different men inside from a wide range of type (archers, soldiers, riders, and more).

The game is quite long with many different missions. A great number of mission are interesting because even if the game is a tactical rpg, there are some story elements which change the tide of a battle. The story told is a bit epic, and has many good elements, but by the ending, the writing of the dialogues feel weaker and some choices leave the player with a mixed feeling because they display something, but not clearly explaining what this mean, and then something happens which change completly the perception of the player who would then maybe want to make another choice if he had know what his first choice entailed.

Also, the UI of the game is not very good. There are improvements planned by the little team of developers, but there are quite a number of weakness in the UI department.

So for me, it's a really solid 8/10 but no more.
Good thing is the dev intends to give more content for this game and is already preparing a 2d game improving many things for the future so intend to pursue the lore and expand the gameplay ideas.

If you like the Fire Emblem games then you will love Symphony of War. The presentation isn't up to par with FE series, however, the care and work that was put into this game is quite evident. Also, the fast forward option is a God send, save a lot of time. All in all, definitely give this game a try. Expand

I played a fire emblem style game for the first time. The beginning of the game is very enjoyable. Meeting new characters. Developing Squad etc. First of all, I played the game on normal difficulty. And it's very easy. You don't lose if you take care of the squad. It gets easier towards the end of the game. And the game is a little long. It could have been shorter. Still, I enjoyed playingI played a fire emblem style game for the first time. The beginning of the game is very enjoyable. Solid game overall. As other's have noted the core gameplay is very similar to other traditional tactical RPGs and is executed well. I'd recommend playing it on highest difficulty as you out scaled your enemies very early on. Story could be improved as it felt very high-schooley and generic. I enjoyed the game. Its an enjoyable substitute for Fire Emblem that mixes in some surprisingly deep squad customization and progression elements. If you are a fan of tactical RPGs, then there is a lot to love with this game. It goes a couple layers deeper with the strategy and tactical customization, as now you not only build your overall team, but also the units within each squad. ThisI enjoyed the game. This is very cool, especially early on as it really encourages experimenting with different setups. The level up system, class system, and overall progression is pretty rewarding as well and it allows more freedom than other similar games.

While the game brings a lot of positive to the table, it also has a few flaws. It is very polished in terms of the music, the sprite graphics, the backgrounds etc. The story was fine, but I wouldn't say it was very good. Its actually pretty generic, and the characters are extremely cliche, that I found myself just wanting to skip forward to get to playing the game. Generally I find that tactical RPG games have very weak generic war storylines, but as with all games in the genre, I get so bored with the characters and story that I just want to get back to the gameplay. This one feels like the characters and story are much weaker than the already low baseline. The game is pretty long so you'll get your money's worth, but unfortunately it wasn't able to hold my attention to the very end. I made it about halfway through before taking a break without any planned intention to come back to it. Fans of the genre will enjoy it.

Light In Infantry can Ambush enemy if they attack the enemy in opening space from any terrains.

Cavalry can do Charge if they move 7 space before they attack.

so the different between Light In Infantry and Heavy Infantry, Heavy Infantry have high def and Light Infantry have low def but higher Ski (Evade, Hit, Crit Rate)

I fell in love with this highly addictive gem after just a couple of turns. If you don’t mind that it was created with RPG Maker and looks like a decades-old relic, if you’re able to turn a blind eye to poor enemy AI and you’re willing to give the story time to really get going, you’ll probably lose track of time. Just like I did when I spent 16 hours with Symphony of War just on the first day with it.

Novel tactical mechanics make this indie a contender for the best strategy RPG this year.

Perfection is not stationed in Tahnra yet, but despite this, Symphony of War is still a strong and compelling turn-based strategy thanks to the amazing mix of simplicity and depth of its mechanics.
