The developers failed to deliver on their promise to move the game to Unreal Engine 4 and therefore once again the visuals are at most passable. What’s more important though is that Train Simulator is still, well, the best train simulator. [13/2015, p.59]

So if you have a very powerful gaming rig, and you’re craving a train simulator, would I recommend Train Simulator 2016? No. No, I do not. It’s too light on content for a $45 game, and I don’t support the developer’s ludicrous paid DLC scheme. Which is a real shame, because the physics are great and, if you can run it in high or ultra high graphics, it can look quite beautiful.

I still waiting for a route that goes from Bosten-new haven-new York Penn (grand central terminal) to Philadelphia and Washington I had three routes, three times New York penn.
Its all pieces of a route that i want. its absurd, that I have every time must pay, for a part of a route, that never comes.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's the same old thing again and again since 2010, and the dlc's combined worth 5 million dollars.

Dovetail's craving for the same thing over, the same thing, same dlc.
It's time Dovetail needs to step up on creation, being that they spent more money on the Trailer then the Game, is just outrageous. Dovetail also needs a better grade in graphics, they've been technically the same since 2012. While Dovetail keeps saying ''Eh, our engine is good enough'', I mean Dovetail could've done waay better if they just used ingame footage for the trailers, we were all hyped to see the game because of the trailer, but all we got is the same boring thing each year.

Dovetail need to step up in leadership, they gain 5 million dollars everyday, and they come up with excuses just so they get more money.

Dovetail needs to get Unreal engine 4, like some other companies already plan on making their own train simulator with Unreal engine 4, which is the god-graphics of engines. I was greeted by coupling at 20mph a grand explosion of carts, this isn't reality, the game doesn't have good physics.

I recommend not really buying this game, it's just Dovetail craving for money.

    Sincerely,
a mad user who has bought TS2016

Every route feels barren, what scenery there is looks shoddy, the missions are dull, the sound design is poor and for £30 there is a severe lack of content. Very disappointing.
