  1. An unexpectedly charming title through and through - one of the most surprising titles that I've had the pleasure of coming across this year.

Despite the slowness of many aspects of the game, battle is among the best I've found in an action game of late.
  3. The game requires a lot of patience. There will be long stretches where you simply move your boat (which moves very slowly, might I add) across space, doing nothing. The combat sequences are few and far between, although they are very well executed.
  4. Simplifying the sometimes daunting dynamics of strategy titles, Battle at Procyon crafts an enjoyable gameplay experience that comes across like a breath of fresh air.
  5. Computer Gaming World
Offers exhilarating combat in a fantastic setting. [Feb 2003, p.85]
  6. A combination of great audio and visual and an unusual but intense style of gameplay make Battle at Procyon a winner.
  7. Even serious strategy fans will find it to be a nice diversion... It's short and sweet--just not very deep.
  8. PC Gamer
Even novice gamers are likely to be dismayed at the hold-your-hand gameplay. [Jan 2003, p.103]
  9. 63
A decent entry-level real-time strategy game, but will probably prove too easy for anyone who's ever played "Warcraft" or "Command & Conquer."
  10. Computer Games Magazine
They're made something complex and sophisticated and then locked most of it away under a dazzling imaginative front end. [Feb 2003, p.74]
  11. This be a game for the little Treasure Planet fanatic, but the veteran captains might be findin' it too small a vessel to chase.

It's really fun. As a fan of the movie I've got to say that this continuation is just wonderful. It's a great story that feels right at home with the film and other games like it. Graphically, this game still looks great. Ships have a nice wooden look to them, metal looks cold and unrefined, stone looks good; it all comes together as a simple but effective looking little package. Game Play wise it's slower and relays a lot on the player own attention span; if you have a short attention span of if you hate slow paced action, this game isn't for you. Other then that, this game provides a number of tactical and strategic options for compensating your ships' slow movement speed. Over all, it's a nice little package that while not keeping everyone entertained has it's knesh. Full Review »
