  • Summary: A new presentation engine delivers a new level of emotion and intensity never seen before in the FaceOff franchise. Pre-game warm-ups, walks through the tunnel, players pushing and shoving between whistles, banter from the penalty box, post game celebrations and much more. [Sony]

  1. A nice package, though certainly not as good as EA or Sega’s version.
  2. The game AI may have a few stumbles, and the graphical quality isn’t near the standards set by EASports or Midway, but this is not a bad game.
  3. The graphics are bad, the gameplay is below average and the career mode is weak, add it all up and it makes for a game I can’t really recommend to anyone.
  4. I was fairly impressed by Faceoff’s presentation, player models, and intuitive controls. However the weak animations and sub par franchise mode in the game keep Faceoff from achieving greatness.
  5. 52
The game also plays very jerky, which in the end, is really the most important part.
  6. Despite a year off last year, Faceoff 2003 hasn't improved enough to stay with the competition.
  7. Cheat Code Central
Even if I were a hockey fan, the game would still suffer from bad camera angles, jerky animation, magnetic puck-pulling sticks and unrealistic AI performance.
