Its a black jellybean game, you will either love it or hate it.

Simple concept that anyone familiar with burnout will know, crash your car into an intersection and try to do as much damage as possible, this game adds some nuisance by throwing in some variety in vehicle and specific challenges (it almost feels puzzley at time) and like similar games makes you want to hit that platinum

    Pros
    - Simple and addictive.
    - Things go boom
    - Price point is bang on
    -

    Cons
    - Physics are a bit off at times,
    - high scores can come down to luck
    - some challenges can also come down to luck due to physics

Honestly I give this an 8 based solely on my enjoyment of the game but i can see how someone else might give it 5 so unlike some games where a rating can be universal its really going to be a do your research and if you feel like this sort of game appeals to you ( think Trackmania and Trials) then pick it up.

    Danger Zone 2
    2 hours of side content
Danger Zone 2 is a crash based game inspired by burnouts crash mode and in fact was made by multiple devolopers from the original burnout.. unfortunately thought much like crash mode.. this feels like just a mode.. doesn’t come close to feeling like a complete game.. This game features 23 challenges across 3 different regions as well as 3 bonus

unfortunately thought much like crash mode.. this feels like just a mode..
doesn’t come close to feeling like a complete game..
This game features 23 challenges across 3 different regions as well as 3 bonus challenges after you complete the game,
and all of this can be seen in less than 2 hours..
The concept of the game is simple, for each challenge youre given a different vehicle to drive, youre given an optional task which guarantees you at least a bronze metal and your job is to just make it to the danger zone causing as much damage as you possibly can along your way, and depending on the challenge or car, the strategy pf creating damage and causing crashes changes each time, some smaller vehicles will cause you to instantly crash and fail for example, some challenges are all about boost chains so youll actually be trying to avoid traffic, racing through these streets is thrilling, and every challenge does have a number of vehicles for you to cause crashes for so youre able to cause a destructive explosion and the end of track, so the destruction and the damage isn’t over until its over.
theres no challenge that feels unfair or frustrating, however I just don’t feel there was enough done here to make this feel like anything more than a standalone burnout mode that has no reason to be standalone, there are again 3 different regions, but if the game never told you this you wouldn’t know, every track aside from a couple with giants gaps in them look and feel the same, I would’ve liked to see things get a bit arcady and over the top taking a chapter from the book of split/second for example, like I don’t know give me boulders and random explosions, anything to make tracks memorable, make them stick out, but nothing like that is done here..
this is all about score chasing, and with a pretty awful trophy list I feel no incentive to chase these scores or replay tracks, one playthrough was enough for me
I had fun, the game is thrilling at times.
but theres just no meat here, no hook.
    I give danger zone 2
    a 6/10

Does what it promises. I'm happy. This team are making a series of games and am looking forward to them getting to the arcade racer one next!

In the end, Danger Zone 2 dips below the standard set by the original game. The addition of the run-up makes the levels feel deep, but the wonky physics and crash restrictions and presence of older issues negate all of that positive movement. The lack of modes is accentuated further by the lack of levels, and the middle-of-the-road presentation makes the game feel lackluster. This is the type of game you'll want to pick up at a sale, but if you're more patient, you might want to wait for the developer's upcoming Dangerous Driving to see if it can finally deliver a full Burnout-inspired game.

Sure, Three Fields might not have the resources its founders once did, but it feels as if the studio was in rather too much of a hurry to get this one out the door. [Issue#323, p.122]

Danger Zone 2 takes necessary, if limited, steps beyond its predecessor with new pieces that fit nicely into the structure of chaos. It makes a spectacle all right, but it’s fleeting.
