PGA Tour 2K21 is almost a hole in one on the PlayStation 4 and is definitely one of the best golfing games in years! Kudos to the developers and 2K for creating something fun, addictive and quite memorable!

PGA Tour 2K21 is a very well done and complete game, difficult enough and satisfying when mastered.
  3. Sep 11, 2020
Α smooth and relaxing experience that is aimed at newcomers and golf enthusiasts alike.

PGA Tour 2K21 beefed up its career mode with the inclusion of more courses, brands, and rivalries with tour pros. Hitting great shots feels very satisfying and the immense flexibility in difficulty makes the game fun for everyone. Online play is fairly deep with Societies and matchmaking while the course designer continues to be a shining star for the series. If this franchise is the future of golf games, then it’s looking pretty good.

PGA Tour 2K21 is a great golf game. Yes, it has a few weird design choices, especially the XP and levelling system. This does not, however, overshadow an enjoyable golf game that you can tailor to your wishes. The game retains its great Societies feature along with a robust course designer and has a plethora of game modes and multiplayer options. If you are in the market for a golf game then PGA Tour 2K21 is a sure drive up the fairway and definitely worth your time and money.

PGA TOUR 2K21 is definitely not perfect yet, but it is absolutely vivacious. The physics are one of 2K21's strong points and although it's lacking a story mode, PGA Tour 2K21 successfully keeps triggering players to continue playing. And when the game releases later this week, I hope you will all join my Society: Wonderspons International.

If PGA Tour 2K21 wanted to be a new beginning of golf simulations, then we must say that their ball managed to hit the green.
  8. Sep 25, 2020
A great golfing simulator with a brilliant core - the sport itself. Its production values and career are significantly worse, but the gameplay is just so very good that it doesn’t matter too much, plus there’s the fantastic course editor.

The only downside to this year’s game, as with The Golf Club, are the visuals. Even knocking balls about a clifftop woodland can feel sterile. But then the game offers an easy-to-use course creator and all is forgiven. Placing accessibility on par with accuracy, this is a golf sim so realistic you can smell the freshly laundered acid-blue chinos. [Issue#180, p.72]

PGA Tour 2K21 borrows a lot from its Golf Club predecessors. By adding a helpful tutorial and many aids, HB Studios have made the game accessible to newcomers, while retaining higher difficulty levels for returning golf fans. PGA Tour 2K21 is the most all-round golf game currently available.
  11. Sep 3, 2020
A very good start PGA Tour's second life. Despite some minor issues, the game hits the hot spot between simulation and accessibility.
  12. Sep 3, 2020
While playing PGA Tour 2K21, we find a refreshing and complete game; a worthy representative of golf and a great sports game. Beyond the small imperfections, perhaps its main failure is how familiar it feels to those of us who have been playing The Golf Club regularly.
  13. Sep 1, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is a standout golfing experience in its own right that any fan, veteran or novice, can play to enjoy a golfing experience tailored for them.
  14. Aug 29, 2020
Technically impeccable and fantastic to behold, 2K’s first PGA Tour game is already the best golf sim currently available.
  15. Aug 24, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is a good game that delivers a spot-on golfing experience. It brings a variety of courses, great mechanics, and plenty of reasons to keep playing. If the presentation could have been improved it would have been the perfect golfing package. As it stands, if you’re looking for a good golfing experience than you got it.

PGA Tour 2K21 is the start of a new era of this venerable licence made famous by countless EA games, this time with The Golf Club engine underpinning matters. It's as good a golf game as we've personally played and is even in danger of having us watch an actual tournament on TV sometime. Recommended.
  17. Aug 23, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is a lot of fun to play, with the best gameplay in a golf game to date. The courses look beautiful, and the presentation is on point as well. Whilst the career mode is quite basic, it never ruins the enjoyment of the game.

It's an excellent simulation of an excellent sport. With most other sports properties out there aiming for intensity, action, and excitement, having the laid-back, strategic pace of golf is a nice alternative, and this will likely be a game I keep coming back to for some time to come simply for that change of pace and undemanding nature.
  19. Aug 20, 2020
It speaks volumes about PGA Tour 2K21 that, despite its lackluster roster and game modes, it's still such an easy recommendation. It owes it all to a phenomenal gameplay loop that's as easy to pick up as it is difficult to master. The series may be a few years away from true greatness, but don't let that stop you from shooting your shot now.
  20. Aug 20, 2020
Despite its downfalls and legacy design issues, I simply cannot put down PGA Tour 2K21. Much like the previous Golf Club title, this is a golf game with smidgen of the PGA Tour tacked on it. MyPLAYER is designed to be a individualistic experience, but a lack of depth on the branded items and the fact that there’s no leveling up the player leaves the long-term aspect in question. Couple that with a season that is mostly full of fantasy courses with some mid-tier PGA Tour courses thrown in and those expecting a full on PGA experience will be disappointed. What matters the most here, however, is the golf and the proper representation of a golf broadcast. The addiction of building confidence until you find that sweet spot and the ability to nail shots that you crafted in your mind makes it worth it. Just avoid higher difficulties until you get comfortable, but I also feel getting too serious about your play style may ruin the experience that’s otherwise extremely fun. In the end PGA Tour 2K21 is a great game of golf and a promising start to the new franchise, and with 2K onboard, we should continue to see more of the PGA positively implemented in the future.
  21. Aug 20, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 offers a good simulation experience that, despite some noticeable absence in both roster and tournaments, would definitely delight golf fans.
  22. Aug 20, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 improves on the mostly stellar foundation of The Golf Club series, offering the most realistic and pure golf experience in a game to date. There are still some minor annoyances that can temporarily take you out of the experience, but it offers a closer approximation of the actual PGA Tour schedule and a relaxing, streamlined approach to MyPlayer. For the most part, PGA Tour 2K21 admirably captures the peculiar magic of the game of golf.
  23. Sep 7, 2020
Some bugs and the inconsistent batting mechanic can cause quite a bit of frustration, though it never breaks the experience. Challenging, yet accessible, the actual gameplay turns out to be a lot of fun. The ability to create your own courts is a nice extra.
  24. Best golf simulation you can play. PGA Tour 2K21 is far from perfect but offers an experience that both new players and golf fans can spend hours in front of.
  25. Aug 23, 2020
In short, PGA Tour 2K21 is a nice entry point for novice golf fans, but it won't blow regulars away.
  26. PGA Tour 2K21 delivers an excellent simulation of my favourite physical pastime, and I expect I’ll continue to come back to it whenever I’m blocked from the real thing by weather, winter, or a pandemic. However, I’m also anxious for this new series to blossom into a more polished and full-featured golf experience. And, given HB Studios’ provenance, I can’t help but hope one day to see a Canadian course or two (perhaps Inverness’ famed Cabot Cliffs?) make the official course roster.
  27. Aug 20, 2020
Good golf simulator, realistic and very adaptable. More content, modes and a technical improvement are necessary.
  28. Aug 20, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 misses a few putts, but lays down a promising foundation for the future.
  29. Sep 16, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is a fun, enjoyable golf game that has made me into a begrudging fan. It still could use some work on the presentation front, but with underlying mechanics this good already, I'm excited for the future of the franchise.

PGA Tour 2K21 appears to be taking the series in a good direction, with a larger PGA license to boot. The presentation may be lacking, but the feel of the game is spot-on. Tuning up the graphics, expanding the license to include more pros, caddies, and the like, and filling out the commentary will really help to sell the immersion that games such as this rely on. Despite the issues present in the game, PGA Tour 2K21 is a solid golf game for fans of the sport.
  31. 70
On the golf course, PGA Tour 2K21 is a fairly fun game. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the game modes. The career is way too simple, and even the online does not offer anything exciting. Graphics and sounds are decent, but could be vastly improved.
  32. Aug 27, 2020
If you were a fan of the sport of games based on Golf you'll find PGA Tour 2K21 to deliver a beautiful and fun experience, you'll lose hours of yourself in the game once you get used to the control settings.
  33. Aug 25, 2020
    Quotation forthcoming.
  34. Aug 24, 2020
From a pure gameplay standpoint, PGA Tour 2K21 delivers a strong enough experience to satisfy fans, and the course designer is fantastic. However, the game falls more toward the average because of its bland career mode, modest list of licensed golfers, and out-dated graphics.
  35. Aug 24, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 offers the best stroke play in years, with deep and rich shot and swing craft. Only a lean career mode proves its handicap.
  36. Aug 20, 2020
PGA 2K21 gives a damn fine game of golf. It controls solidly and there's a good learning curve as you get to grips with the more advanced types of shot. Despite that, I can’t help but be a little disappointed with the feel of the overall experience. What should have been a hole in one return of a licensed golf series feels like it's only just managing to hit par.
  37. Aug 20, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is the most flexible and enjoyable golf game since EA’s Tiger Woods series was at its peak. While its career mode could have done with some spit and polish to its presentation and featured more meaningful rewards, it nonetheless serves as a solid 20-hour straightaway to what could prove to be the most thriving part of PGA Tour 2K21’s dance floor in the long term; the online societies. As far as establishing a new sports franchise goes (on the shoulders of the three Golf Club games that came before) this might not be the strongest shot off the tee, but it’s ended up in a very playable lie.
  38. Aug 20, 2020
PGA Tour 2K21 is the best simulation golf game on the PS4, and it represents a real evolution for The Golf Club franchise as a whole. While it retains many of the features from previous instalments, it’s much better presented than ever before, and it finally includes a career mode that’s worth your time and attention. There are still improvements to be made here – the licensed courses lack character and the visuals are static – but if this were a long par five tee shot it’d comfortably find the fairway.
  39. Aug 20, 2020
For the future we hope for a greater freshness in the approach to the game, which is not always fluid, and a more rigorous attention to the technical aspects of golf: we are sure that with the right investments HB Studios has all the credentials to be able to offer an authentic advancement in simulation titles of the most famous Scottish game in the world.
  40. Aug 25, 2020
Ultimately, 2K and HB Studios created a platform for golf fans to create a memorable career while visiting some iconic courses, and they largely succeeded with a solidly-built game.
  41. Aug 24, 2020
In between some of the most frustrating moments I’ve had with any sort of game in quite some time, PGA Tour 2K21 flashed with hopeful, brilliant optimism. As long as it worked, hitting the links and knocking down a few holes felt as good as it ever has. And the course creator is one of the best things I’ve seen come to a sports game in a long time. But it’s hard to recommend something that chewed up and spit out nearly a day of my life, leaving me with nothing to show for it. Either way, it’s without question that the newly invigorated, and now former, Golf Club series is sitting at the base of a mountain made from potential. Though, it may be a hell of a climb getting to the peak.

The starting equipment isLook elsewhere if you are looking for a golf game that is deep with equipment options to improve your game. The starting equipment is basically the best in the game making purchasing new clubs mostly a cosmetic change. Older games have done a much better job of making equipment useful and something worth earning. You cant even buy different balls which can affect your game. Solid physics, graphics are sub par. Decent simulation but career mode lacks any real depth. Game feels unpolished, rushed and almost as if they just felt they needed to make a golf game but didn't really have any passion for the game. Really left disappointed, was hoping for more. I realize the versions in the past by EA were more arcade type but they felt deeper. Full Review »

I really wanted to like this one, but unfortunately it is crap. The game is made virtually unplayable by the hit sticks. The only way you can play this game is by dumbing down the swing difficulty to the easiest level. Putting is brutal, where even 3 foot puts are very difficult to make. These should be gimmie puts, but the game will punish you if you cannot create a perfect swing. The game looks great and surely is customizable, however the swing mechanics (the core of any golf game) are crappy, brutal and punishing. BTW if you want to play online competitively, the default setting for online play is good luck hitting the fairway consistently.

Bring back Hot Shots Golf on PS4.

The “tempo” and “timing” aspects ofGolf Club 2019 was a fantastic game that was near perfect. They’ve killed the franchise with this game. The “tempo” and “timing” aspects of the swing mechanics are incredibly frustrating and nearly impossible to understand. Feels as though the game just randomly chooses whether or not your shot will go where it wants to. The putting was screwed up in its entirety for 50% of players until the latest software update. This game is not fun... I can honestly post a lower golf score in real life than I can in this game. And this is by someone who nearly mastered the golf club 2019. Just a shame... Full Review »
