I’ve been waiting 23 years for a game to come along and take the crown for the best Star Wars flight sim from X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, and have had to endure guff like 2001’s Starfighter in the meantime. Well, it’s finally here. This is now the high watermark for interactive Star Wars experiences.
Squadrons is a fantastic game that truly shines in VR. It manages to capture all the intensity of these battles and deliver a great campaign and multiplayer modes.

What I really enjoyed about the perspective of Playing with members of the New Republic and The Imperial Remnant both had great characters my favorites being Keo Venzee and Shen both brought a fresh perspective during this familiar time period i also love the diversity of the characters Keo Venzee being non-binary and Varko Grey being LGBTQ I also enjoyed the return of familiar Wedge Antilles, Hera Syndulla and Rae Sloanes first Appearance in the media also loved how both the New Republic and Imperial were humanized also connecting to future media such The Best Star Wars Pilot Simulator

Star Wars Squadrons is a complete, albeit, small package. It really delivers the most authentic Star Wars dogfighting experience to date. The music, the visuals, the details inside your ship, the sounds, it’s a nerd’s dream turned into reality. The learning curve in the game is a bit steep, but rewarding along the way. If you’re able to, try different compatible gaming peripherals to get an even more enhanced flight experience than I did.
Star Wars: Squadrons certainly has a few issues. Its enjoyable campaign has some dull moments outside of the cockpit and the multiplayer, as stupendously thrilling as it is, is a bit too barebones at the moment. But it's also the most fun and immersive Star Wars flight sim experience we've ever had thanks to its immaculate gameplay and incredibly polished production.
An unexpectedly involved space combat simulator that manages to replicate the thrills of the 90s X-Wing and TIE Fighter games with surprising clarity – and an excellent VR mode.
Moderately hardcore, a tad nostalgic, devoid of AAA luster, but engaging nonetheless – Squadrons is a nice choice for those who miss Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance. [Issue#249, p.56]
Star Wars: Squadrons has its heart in the right place and a comprehensive, in-depth set of flight mechanics go a long way towards realising that childhood dream of piloting an X-Wing. It achieves the vision in some ways, but in others, the package lacks excitement and content. While excellent PSVR support will be enough for some, a boring story and inadequate multiplayer modes leave a lot to be desired.
Star Wars Squadrons is one of the best Star Wars games ever made, it accomplish to bring back the combat flight simulators for new audiences, the game mechanics are perfect.

Przyjemna pod względem gameplayu, dzięki czemu bardzo przyjemnie się lata. Fabularnie zaś jest dość cienko - niby mamy jakieś motywacje jednak misje są dość proste (choć silą się na rozmaicenie działań)
Szkoda, że EA szybko porzuciło wsparcie dla gry bo potencjał na rozwój tego sima był spory (przez co gra ostatecznie cierpi na braki w zawartości, która mogłaby zatrzymać graczy na dłużej)

Showed promise but has very poor mouse/keyboard controls. It is like the joystick programming was used for the mouse. Battlefield (any) and War thunder do so much better at mouse/keyboard than this game.
