Sep 6, 2019At the risk of sounding overly infatuated, I cannot begin to understand how the hell Torchlight II has aged so well. The art style, combat mechanics, and even loot drop loop are so finely tuned that it feels like the game fits in as well now as it did, seven years ago.
-
Sep 3, 2019Torchlight II for consoles remains true to the one that captivated us on PC and it adapts perfectly to desktop platforms.
-
Sep 6, 2019Torchlight 2 is a good porting for an old good game. If you are looking for a Diablo-like waiting the next chapter, maybe this could be your game.
-
Sep 5, 2019Seven years after its initial release, Torchlight 2 finally graces the console generation and proves that you don't have to have Diablo in your title to make an impact. Torchlight 2 is a near-perfect dungeon crawler that no fan of the genre can afford to miss.

Sep 4, 2019The constant hunt for the bigger better loot shows its age here and then - but still packs quite a punch. Just don’t expect a local co-op mode.
-
Sep 9, 2019As a budget Diablo III clone, Torchlight II delivers a solid chunk of hacky, slashy, looty gameplay and gets better as the game gets harder. However, it doesn't offer any real innovations and seems creatively unambitious even by the standards of a sub-genre that already struggles to break away from its conventions.
-
Sep 6, 2019Torchlight II is an older title that feels its age at times. Nevertheless, it remains a solid example of its genre and will keep you occupied for hours on end. Multiplayer, an expansive upgrade system, and a sea of worthwhile loot make up for the repetitive gameplay.
