At first glance, it's pretty easy to write off Terraria as just another Minecraft clone, but this time with 2D pixel art visuals. While true on the surface, there is actually a whole lot more to Terraria than initially meets the eye. For all intents and purposes, the Stadia version is a perfect port of the excellent sandbox survival game with zero compromises compared to its dedicated console counterparts. But it still may not be right for you if you're not into extremely open-ended crafting games.

Terraria is one of my favorite games of all time, and probably the one I’ve stuck with the longest. There is so much to do in this game, I can’t even comprehend it. This is an excellent port, and brings extremely good and responsive console controls to this game. This is the PC version of the game, not the console version, so it has all of the new features included in the 1.4 update. The controls with a controller work just like if you were playing the console edition, and if you want to switch back to PC controls it’s super easy. My only con with this version is the lack of split screen, but that’s due in part with this being the PC version of the game instead of the console version. It’s nice to have a version that I can take with me and cross progress anywhere, whether I want to play it on my couch, the toilet, a bus ride, or on my laptop, it’s a version I can take everywhere and still get the full PC experience. I highly recommend this game at its price point on stadia. It doesn’t have the best graphics, but games like these show that gameplay matters most. Expand

Works utterly terrible with a controller. Probably way better on a computer with a mouse, but for that, stadia isn’t my platform of choice.
