Unleash destruction alone or with your friends in the 2D twin-stick bullet hell Aperion Cyberstorm!

Find new Elements and Abilities, and mix them for more destructive power Beat your enemies with plasma-coated spiral rockets, scrap them with electric mines, or overwhelm them off with devastating lasers.

Travel to vast hostile worlds in Campaign to find your old team. Push through the factions standing in your way to the truth. Also, with cooperative play, experience an added challenge as the enemies you fight become tougher.

Versus is the true test of friendship. Don't lose your focus by collecting power-ups in the map for instant abilities, elements, and maybe, a chance to survive. Versus comes with eight fully customizable rule sets, for quick scraps or longer fights. Go it alone in Free-For-All, or buddy up in Team Battles and share the victory. Add up to four AI players for true 5 player battles!

Finally, in Onslaught, your enemies won't stop until you're defeated, so stand your ground. Survive long enough to unlock new maps.

    Good luck.

Overall, Aperion Cyberstorm is a well polished and incredibly fun game. Even if you’re new to twin stick shooters, or have had a bad time with them before, I reckon this is still worth picking up. There’s a variety of modes, control schemes, and tons of content to play either solo or with friends!

As a solo experience, this indie shmup won’t win many over with its familiar twin-stick formula, but as a couchplay experience it’s one of the most fun spins on the genre we've played on Nintendo Switch. Whether in two-player or with five folks involved, Aperion Cyberstorm is another confident slice of shooter fun from Britain’s burgeoning indie dev scene.

Aperion Cyberstorm is meant to be played with friends. As a solo experience, the game’s lifeless art style and ubiquitous play style won’t win many people over. But as a local co-op experience, it’s an exceedingly fun spin on the genre. If you’re looking for a great single-player game, you should look elsewhere, but if you have had a handful of friends willing to play with you, this one is definitely worth a try.

Aperion Cyberstorm does many things reasonably well, but nothing well enough to really set it apart from other shooters on the platform. The uninteresting Campaign mode drags down the other, better-executed ideas, and prevents the game from being all that it could have been.

It's hard to believe that Aperion Cyberstorm has a story with characters and text to read. Most of the time players will likely be fighting the urge to skip every line of dialogue since the story is completely frivolous and separate to the gameplay. Why so many interruptions for dialogue in what is essentially a bullet-hell shoot 'em up? It is this kind of unintuitive and backwards decision-making that has led to Aperion Cyberstorm in the first place. This comes recommended to those with sleep disorders.
