Habroxia is a pretty bland and curiously straightforward little shmup with nothing about it that stands out as being worth recommending. The handful of little flourishes it introduces – such as switching between horizontal and vertical traversal or its three different fire modes – just don’t add any kind of fun to proceedings because the game hasn’t been designed in a way that makes them neither interesting or necessary. The Switch is absolutely drowned with fantastic old-school shmups with lots of unique little quirks and clever design decisions that make them deliciously moreish to play and really, and at the end of the day, you’d be much better off choosing almost any of them than spending time with a game that seems perfectly content to let you glide through it without providing any incentive, narrative or challenge whatsoever.

Habroxia is a space shooter that’s far too straightforward and lacking in personality. It won’t live long in the memory at all, and perhaps is a symbol to indicate that this genre has become dated.

Nice little shooter, although my main complaint is it is too easy. If you are new to shooters or don't like higher difficulty levels, this is a nice intro to the genre. I understand one guy programmed this, so don't expect anything too advanced. Still, the 15 story mode missions can be complete in around 2 hours, and it is a nice little indy shooter. Expand

Graphics are pretty good and it's been a lot of fun and good value for what I paid for. Would like to see more games like this in the future!Graphics are pretty good and it's been a lot of fun and good value for what I paid for. Would like to see more games like this in the future! Also, if a game gets a score of 6 or higher, that should be GREEN! I would rate most games as 3 or lower! This game is more than twice as good as much stuff out there. 3, 4 and 5 could be yellow instead of 5, 6, and 7. Anyway, I haven't done everything there is to do in this game yet but it's still been pretty satisfying. You can get on a high score list of 5 scores... each level has its own high score list. I guess if the game gets more popular it would be harder to get on the list. Being able to choose your upgrades is a neat little system although it appears the bonus modes aren't as advanced as I was hoping they'd be. This is the main kind of shooting game I like. Where you are flying around. FPS aren't my thing and I wish people would play this kind of stuff more because it's more fun. Expand
