Mario Kart has been the king of kart racing for a long time. These latest additions only serve to further cement this title, with stunning visuals and engaging gameplay that bring a smile every time; it’s just that good.
You know, when wave 1 came out in march this year, I was worried, because the dlc looked half finished. now however, I can say that Nintendo are actually trying here. The city tracks are great fun and 3Ds rainbow road is and looks phenomenal. It was already the best rainbow road in the series, and it still is in wave 3. It's beautiful.
Other good tracks like 3Ds rock rock mountain and Ds peach gardens have returned and they are good, however, the mountain section on rock rock mountain does fell a bit slow so that should be improved. However, it's not a big deal and doesn't take away from the over all great experience.
The GBA boo lake remake is awsome and really good fun and well designed.
Best wave yet.
Now all they need to do is add, 3Ds Wario's shipyard, 3Ds Maka Wuhu, ds Bowser's castle, Wii coopa cape, Wii Dk summit, ds rainbow road, GBA Riverside park/ lakeside park (whatever one came back in Mario kart tour), Wii Dessert ruins, GCN DK mountain and the rest of the city tracks and then this DLC will be the best thing that's ever happened in Mario kart history. Honestly, though, they really are some of the best tracks the series has given us.
The Booster Course Pass Wave 3 tracks are some of the most enjoyable yet and certainly make the overall package even more attractive. Tracks like London Loop, Berlin Byways and Merry Mountain will feel like brand new courses for those who have not played Mario Kart Tour, and the return of Maple Treeway, Peach Gardens and Boo Lake are also much appreciated to add to an already diverse mix of tracks. The Booster Course Pass, either as a standalone purchase or for those with Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass, has incredible value and with 24 more courses to come there is still plenty of scope for other inventive courses and remixed tracks to join foray.
Wave 3 of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass is filled with superb tracks that are great fun to race on. It's wonderful to see the level of quality remain unwavering with the release of these 2 cups; plus, Merry Mountain will surely get you in the Christmas spirit.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to be the definitive karting experience with Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass. While there are some cut corners at spots, the twists, turns, and tweaks made to tracks old and new will be a hit at one’s next shindig.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 3 is the best update yet to the base game. The tracks on offer here are mostly stellar, and with the addition of customisable item loadouts in ‘VS Race’ modes both online and offline (which is available to all players, regardless of whether you have the Booster Course Pass), Wave 3 is a triumph and a great way to mark the halfway point of the Booster Course Pass.
Looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the previous courses, 3ds rainbow road looks so great that it almost made me forget about what they did to coconut mall. The christmas track in particular is visually stunning and plays really well, the music is good too. If you were putting off getting the pass because it didnt feel worth it, I'd say it's decently well worth it now.
Here's hoping they add Rosalina's ice world in wave 4 (for the music alone... please)
SummaryRev up those engines, because more courses are cruising over to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - Booster Course Pass DLC on Nintendo Switch this holiday! Wave 3 features eight tracks, including Merry Mountain from Mario Kart Tour and Peach Gardens from Mario Kart DS!
