Dec 15, 2022Just like the original, this game is incredibly addictive.
As a roguelite, you can spend your coins on upgrades upon death allowing you to slowly progress further on each run.
The gameplay and controls are perfect and the different load outs give lots of variety. -
Jan 9, 2023Really my type of the game. A rouguelite gem in 2022. Didn't play the first one but really enjoy this sequel.

Jan 31, 2023It is a masterpiece! Better, Bigger than 1st part. More content, inventory, good story behind. Interesting bosses. Nice post endgame replayability

Jan 11, 2023Great platforming, smooth combat and tons of variety on upgrading options and affinities. Also, a nice and small pool of bosses which are challenging but not that hard, and a map system that is greatly designed for easy access when you successfully clear a location. It doesn't have the challenge of a hard roguelike adventure but I still love it.

Nov 14, 2022This game is unbelievably good in every possible way. And then its execution... 60 FPS and super detailed 2D hand-drawn graphics and minimal load times. Now please stop blaming the Switch hardware when your games don't run smooth, this is a master class in game design.

Dec 14, 2022An excellent sequel that marries Metroidvania style exploration with a dizzying array of new combat mechanics, to make one of the best roguelike experiences of this or any year.

Dec 13, 2022A worthy sequel in every regard, Rogue Legacy 2 improves almost every single element that made the original Cellar Door Games title so appealing. Even its slow progression system is easy to stomach when everything along the way is so fun and entertaining.

Nov 30, 2022Rogue Legacy 2 sometimes feels a bit too familiar, but it’s a better, more well-rounded game than its predecessor in a wide variety of ways. There are so many top-notch games of this sort on the Nintendo Switch already that you may not immediately be drawn to this game due to it lacking any flashy new feature, but those who give it a chance will find a degree of substance that even the first game was lacking.
