Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is a fun game which will put a smile on your face. Don't expect too much of it, all you have to do is expect the fun you'll have with it.
this game is brilliant my favourite part is when shadow swears i was playing it came out of nowhere it was hiliarous i also like the other parts souch as the events and the walk step whatever its called
I and my 7yr old son thoroughly enjoyed the game. The visuals, music and gameplay are absolute delight and unique. Would have loved more motion control and nunchuck if they were provided to bring about off couch play style like WiiFit Resort. Loved the duration of games. Albeit definitely engaging and fun.
Both Maio and Sonic bring together the best of the theme. Probably the best of Sonic with 3D Mario
The usual Olympic "adventure" of Mario & Sonic is, as the previous one, a collection of minigames. Well: to be honest, is a collection of the same minigames we played 4 years ago. And the input detection problems are still here. Think about it only if you skipped London in 2012 and you are an old fan of Track & Field.
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games is a party game featuring a rich cast of 40 characters from the worlds of Super Mario and Sonic, who battle themselves through the Olympic events. Unfortunately, a set group of characters is limited to certain events, the story mode is short, flat and somewhat uninteresting.
Mario & Sonic at Rio 2016 Olympic Games on the 3DS is a disappointing collection of hastily cobbled together minigames. There's some fleeting fun to be had, but most of its sporting disciplines are an exercise in repetitive drudgery.
A great game of mixes of sega and nintendo but release it too early. it is as good as the 2012 london olympics game! We all know we can thank Nintendo for 2 things- 1 saving Sega and 2 LETTING THEM INTO THIS AMAZING GAME. This is absaloutley the best mario/sonic game yet
This game is not bad as it okay for a game for the Olympic games series not much to say apart from it is good that they added a story mode. Overall I would recommend this if you like the series.
The game itself isn't bad, but it's not a stellar one either. For every thing done right, another thing is done wrong. Being the first game since the first Winter Olympics game to introduce new characters, the cast of playable characters is great. However a set group of characters are limited to certain events, with each returning character only being playable in two events each (except Mario and Sonic) while every new character is only playable in one event each (except the Mii). The story mode is easy to play and is pretty okay to play through, but it is pretty short and most of the time it feels like you aren't progressing through a plot, it feels like your just there to play events. It makes you forget that there even is a plot going on sometimes. Overall, I would say that this game is pretty much just like the other handheld installments; it's not the greatest game out there, but it is playable and can be enjoyable at times.

SummaryMario, Sonic and their pals go to the ultimate training grounds for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the streets of Rio de Janeiro. Train with Mario or Sonic in their own stories, then test your skills in fourteen events. Soar high in BMX, blaze over 110m Hurdles, perfect your swing in Golf and field a team in Brazil's favorite sport: soccer....
