One of Wiiware's strongest pick-up-and-play titles, with a lengthy story mode, added game types, and even achievements, this ten-dollar download is hard to beat.
-
If Ronimo Games' first game on WiiWare has a con, it's its short duration. Campaigns are like that and can only entertain the player for a few hours. Fortunately, there is the multiplayer, giving a bit more durability to the game. Aside from that, Swords & Soldiers is a great way to obtain great amounts of quick fun on Wii.
-
Although not very deep and sometimes inclined to chaotic action, Swords and Soldiers is an original and ironical take on the RTS genre. A little short, but still one of the funniest strategic game ever released specifically on console.
-
Far more than just a quirky and adept multiplayer romp, then, Swords & Soldiers has found a deeply satisfying sweet-spot where chaos and control are almost perfectly balanced, and the result is a game that towers above everything else WiiWare currently has to offer.
-
Ronimo Games has created a light hearted take on the RTS genre. Swords & Soldiers has enabled a gateway for people who don’t normally venture into the real time strategy genre, to be able to pick up their Wii remote and play.
-
Swords & Soldiers is a cute game with a lot of moments that are really, really fun. It can get pretty intense in later campaign levels and it's satisfying to complete them.
-
One of the best looking WiiWare games is also one of the most accessible real-time strategies ever.
