  1. The puzzles were challenging, the story mode was comical and reminded me a bit of Sonic, and I had a blast playing with friends in the Survival mode.
  2. Reminiscent of Pengo games from the early eighties, Polar Panic does a good job at bringing back an arcade feel of gameplay that can be picked up and played for short bursts, provides shallow short based enjoyment and has an emphasis on hitting high scores be it alone or with friends.
  3. 75
The levels are inventive, Puzzle and Survival modes round out the package, and the orchestral score is quite nice. It doesn't have a lot of personality, though, and some wonky controls and collision detection reveal a lack of polish. But Polar Panic should get younger gamers through the cold winter weeks ahead.
  4. Official Xbox Magazine
Watching friends take a club in the teeth while you rack up a nine-kill-combo is immensely satisfying. [Feb 2010, p.85]
