7th Sector is a Puzzle Adventure unlike any other. You are in control of an orb of energy, that can move along through wires and other electronic devices, like monitors, and electronic toys. The graphics are beautifully rendered and adds to the overall feel and flow of the game. The background, tho usually limited, offers an impressive view of the game's world, and there is more going on in the background than I'm used to in most games. 7th Sector also provides a near-perfect soundtrack to every moment of the game, some dynamically flowing with the areas you pass through. At first, the game feels like it's going to be a simplistic run of jumping wire to wire, but it quickly makes you realize you're going to need your brain, a lot. The games puzzles are wildly varied, with the exception of a few math puzzles that recur with different numbers (in fact the numbers change when you die and have to do a puzzle over again). There was never a shortage of things to do, and the variety keeps 7th Sector fresh and keeps you needing to press on. I've never encountered a game like this, everything it brings to the table is different and new. 7th Sector will keep you thinking, and will be enjoyed by every puzzle game fan that picks it up! I was, on the whole, impressed with the range of puzzles and different gameplay scenarios available here — especially when you consider that “7th Sector was designed by a single individual. Sergey Noskov is one to watch.

If you’re able to power through the annoyances, there’s a lot to like about 7th Sector. It looks and sounds great, the atmosphere is built wonderfully and it feels like there’s always something new to see as you progress. But some obscure puzzles and a lack of an easily parse-able story may well end up putting more people off than not.

If you like a puzzler then you’re going to like 7th Sector on Xbox One. The puzzles will test your mental abilities to the limit and it will constantly surprise you in its attack and verve.
