Cheat Code CentralDespite all the positive aspects of Ford Racing 2, it's actually a short game. The replay value isn't extended much by the two-player mode and few will be obsessed with obtaining the high score on the Xbox Live.
-
Best $10 game of all time? Probably.
-
TotalGames.netSmooth and fast, the sensation of participating in a race is actually very good, though the overall design quality tends to waver somewhat from track to track.
-
A competent entry into the arcade-racing genre. While there isnt a lot of innovation, you just cannot argue with a ticket price of $19.99. Fans of Ford classic and concept cars should take notice.
-
An above-average racing game that a Ford fanatic will fall in love with.
-
While only a handful of cars that roll off of Ford's factory floor are likely to quicken the pulse of most motorsport enthusiasts, Ford Racing 2 presents itself as a pretty exhilarating game regardless.
-
Unfortunately other than the Ford licence there is nothing here to really fire you up. Sure if a player wants a quick blast at a racing game then this delivers.
-
It's not deep, nor especially challenging, but if you want to take that vintage Mustang to the generic California streets and choke your enemies with exhaust, it's a fun ride.
-
Official Xbox MagazineThe structure isn't terrible, it's just not very good...same goes for depth and the game as a whole. [Jan 2004, p.63]
-
Xbox Nation MagazineHeartily mediocre. [Mar 2004, p.90]
-
The arcadey physics and simple tracks make for a pretty bland experience.
