Like its predecessor, it’s whip-smart, joyful, and more than a little bit mischievous, yet another manipulation/reinvention of the classic whodunit, made with a cast whose thrill to be working produces an experience that’s as exuberant for them as it is for viewers. Glass Onion doesn’t have quite the zest and freshness of the original, and there are times when it’s a little too self-pleased with the social commentary and the meta references, but thanks to Johnson’s crackling good dialogue, the impressive production design and the sparkling performances from Craig and a whole new cast of possible suspects and/or murder victims, this is a whip-smart, consistently funny and sure to be crowd-pleasing affair. Considering how brilliant the first movie was, this was a great disappointment. The first move was funny, quirky, with an interesting cast of characters. This sequel has none of that. A waste of time. I thought this was going to be at least entertaining, but after an hour of pablem and ring around the mystery idiocy, I just stopped watching. I have no idea what the "Pro" reviewers were smoking when they watched the scenery chewing performances by everyone except maybeA waste of time. There were no onions in this movie. I am so mad. Onions have layers, but this movie was see through and there was no substance. I can't believe I spent 8 hours watching this movie.
