Un film avec Paul Newman qui conduit des voitures de course… surtout des voitures de tourisme (les ancêtres de la formule TOCA, les Touring Cars) , puis éventuellement une monoplace qui ressemble fort à une F1 des années 60… sauf qu’il s’agit d’une Indycar et que du coup, ils tournent enUn film avec Paul Newman qui conduit des voitures de course… surtout des voitures de tourisme (les ancêtres de la formule TOCA, les Touring Cars) , puis éventuellement une monoplace qui ressemble fort à une F1 des années 60… sauf qu’il s’agit d’une Indycar et que du coup, ils tournent en rond comme des cons sur des ovals imbéciles (pléonasme) dont le plus connu est à Indianapolis !

Bref, on s’en fout totalement malgré -évidemment- un carambolage juste après le départ (faut-y qu’ils soient des cons quand même…). Virages concerne donc, on l’a compris, le sport automobile américain et ça, on s’en contrefout. Il reste néanmoins quelques beaux plans, bien qu’ils soient souvent saucissonnés et montés n’importe comment (le réalisateur serait-il le grand-père de Michael Bay ?) mais ça reste mince, beaucoup trop mince.

Le reste (1h40 sur les deux heures) concerne le psychodrame à dormir debout du pilote Newman avec sa femme (la fade Joanne Woodward) et un certain rival incarné par Robert Wagner. Et là aussi, on s’en contrefout.

Bref, un mauvais, très mauvais film de voitures… on vous recommande donc de vrais films comme Le Mans ou Grand Prix, pas ce Virages pourri !… Expand
