61st Street just wrapped up its first season on May 29, but already AMC has released a teaser for the second season, set to debut in 2023. You can watch that below.

The drama, which has a Metascore of 66 thus far, comes from Peter Moffat and follows the police and prosecutors within the Chicago criminal justice system as they investigate a drug bust that threatens to unravel the police department.

"When Moses was found not guilty, it didn't feel like the end of something, it felt like the beginning," Franklin (Courtney B. Vance) says in the teaser. "It's in the nature of cover ups that they can never stop."

The first season of 61st Street saw Moses Johnson (Tosin Cole), who was once a promising high school athlete, get swept up in the infamously corrupt Chicago justice system after being taken in by the police, who suspect him of being a gang member. He and his lawyer Franklin then are in the center of a case that sees law enforcement officials seeking revenge for the death of one of their own.

The first season finale was a roller coaster, beginning with an effigy of the accused hanged and burning, followed by courtroom testimony, Johnny wearing (and lying about wearing) a wire, Phil reuniting with his family, Martha's own verdict coming in a win, and Moses back on the streets.

The show also stars Aunjanue Ellis, Mark O'Brien, Holt McCallany, Andrene Ward-Hammond, and Bentley Green. The series is executive produced by Moffat, J. David Shanks, Michael B. Jordan, Elizabeth Raposo, Alana Mayo, Jeff Freilich, and Hilary Salmon. It hails from AMC Studios and is available to stream on AMC+.
