He has reported and presented news, current affairs, lifeand entertainment shows; participated in live international broadcasts and hosted five seasons of the Uncle Toby's Ironman Super series.

He's written, produced and presented the top-rating prime time series The World's Worst Drivers for Channel Nine.

Known as one of TV's most versatile performers, he has hosted numerous programs including Good Morning Australia and In Melbourne Tonight. Additionally, he was the most regular fill-in host on Hey Hey It's Saturday.

He also enjoyed successful breakfast stints on Sydney radio stations 2UW and later Mix 106.5FM. He has been a popular fill-in host on many breakfast and evening radio shows in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

Emdur's probably best known for his four prime time game shows, which included a record-breaking five-year run on The Price is Right. Emdur has also been twice nominated for both the Peoples Choice Award for "most popular host" as well as the Logies.

When The Price is Right ended in 1998, Emdur moved his young family to Los Angeles where he studied screenplay writing and his first feature film was picked up by one of Australia's top producers. He returned as host when the show made a comeback from 2003-2005.

In 2005, the Australian talent show Star Struck was launched. Larry, together with Catriona Rowntree was given the jobs as co-host.
