Vesey O'Davoren

Biography: Born in Ireland, actor Vesey O'Davoren started out with Dublin's Abbey Theatre. During WWI, he was caught in a mustard gas attack and lost his voice. To help himself heal, he moved to Hollywood and began appearing in silent films. By the time talkies were invented, he had recovered his voice and O'Davoren appeared in over two dozen films before retiring in the late '50s.
