NBC knocked it out of the park with this one. The premise is a little played out but honestly, The cast saves this show and turns it into something worth watching. Howerton carries that same fire he has playing Dennis on It's Always Sunny and Oswalt plays a quality number two who's shortNBC knocked it out of the park with this one. Glenn Howerton basically just plays his character from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in a different setting without the rest of the Sunny cast.

Has potential, was generally amusing, but the first episode didn't grab me in the way a comedy needs to grab me in a world with truly brilliant comedies like Corporate and Kimmy Schmidt.

Couldn't watch it after the first episode. Toying on stereotypes, can you be any less creative than that? Main character is a stereotypical white male who has enjoyed privileges all his life too. how this totally inconclusive “comedy” series, is still on air, is a real mistery to me. or meibe not. if the executive producers weren’t lorne michaels and his pupil seth meyers, this huge absurd paradox couldn’t not be real and for sure, couldn’t pass even the first pitch, to the mosthow this totally inconclusive “comedy” series, is still on air, is a real mistery to me. or meibe not. if the executive producers weren’t lorne michaels and his pupil seth meyers, this huge absurd paradox couldn’t not be real and for sure, couldn’t pass even the first pitch, to the most wrecked tv network executives. casting is awful. but the signature of this real abortive labirinth of unfunniness, it’s that is totally not funny. it’s just a pile of nonsense, that some ‘minus habens’ has thrown on our small screens. the writers are living the biggest shortage of mediocre ideas, in a way that’s even more evident, since trump was given his unreal-twitter-based-presidency. is pure crap. and when I say that’s not funny, I mean not Seinfeld funny. I mean a level that incorporate something so low, that’s like an outsider, in a negative perspective. the poor patton oswalt, desperately, try to save himself from the deadly gravitational quicksand of a unique black hole, made of the total opposite recipe, necessary for a merely quite decent tv product, I mean a C- decent. but he’s condemned to drawing. like almost all characters, with the only exception of the young and talented Aparna Brielle, which is the only character that is, to me, actually believable. for all the rest, included the blond secretary of the poor vice principal, mr. oswalt, who’s too, by the way, a D- comedian, anyway, is ‘pollice verso’. which was the deadly posture of the right hand, of the Roman Emperors, inside The Colosseum, deciding for the bloodbath, against the unlucky centurion of the day, condemning to die in horrific way, just to please common people. the mediocre inhabitant of ancient Rome. but it was 2000 years ago. now the old recipe, the one made with the only two ingredients needed at those times, called ‘panem et Circenses”, to this days, is not enough. (I have to specify that, Roman Emperors, noted that the common people just needed bread, panem, in latin, and live shows full of violence, boat battles, lions and tigers devouring live christians, some sort of ancient Bloody Circus). but without clowns. no bozo. at that time. now we have clowns. for sure we have almost one. is easily identifiable by his baboonic orange livrea. and we know, for sure, that he is able of using also a smartphone, a device with the real opposite characteristic of the clown synapses. but now, now, we have the right to pay for excellent tv products, built by professionally, brilliantly chosen, real tv people. not just a mediocre bunch of losers, living an evident, indefinite period, of shortage of ideas. because we pay them a lot. just for some brilliant ideas. but these ideas, has to be brilliant. in the contrary case, they can go easily to sweep the streets, of our cities. even new york city. even 30 Rock. I admit I’m not in the demographic that, meibe, meibe, could be the potential audience of this garbage. but I like young sheldon. than that’s not the right angle. but, in my opinion, having resources to build a tv product, is not enough. there’s always something more that has, absolutely has to meets the eye. it is mandatory. otherwise, not to far, on line of the horizon, there will be always, always, only the failure. there was just one ‘show about nothing’. but was aired the past millennium.… Expand
