Top Cast
Everything is fleet and light, nothing outstays its welcome and the audience is left to be swayed – should they need it – towards the message of tolerance by the joyful insouciance of the whole thing, rather than any heavy-handed lectures or rigid point of view.
Episodes improve after the pilot with a shift in focus to the characters and their relationships, but the season finale shifts tones again into a gear that seems like blatant begging for a second season.

This odd and short dramedy has a knack for making otherwise cringeworthy situations funny, and delivers a funny, awkward comedy, with quite a few character studies to be more than just a non stop parade of sex jokes.

I wish there was an option to score the seasons individually. The scores would be very different. Season 1 was great. My friend told me to watch this show and I laughed so much. It's not my typical show (not just given the subject matter) but I was surprised it kept my attention. Season 2... maybe 2 or 3 really funny moments and the rest was very slow and boring. I was very sad. I heard it was not renewed for Season 3 and honestly I am not surprised. I will say....given the subject matter was disappointed there was no nudity. Howewver the moments that were hilarious were - FREAKING hilarious. My biggest issue besides Season 2, I was confused why each episode was only 15 minutes. Most sitcoms are 22 to 24 minutes. Very very short.

Doyle isn't interested in exploring the B.D.S.M. world or Pete and Tiff's knotty friendship (of course they have an abortive hookup in their past) with any complexity. He instead privileges his own point of view, via Pete, as the sassy outsider who's above it all. Though Scannell is talented enough, at least, to make the character's bug-eyed tsk-tsk-iness tolerable.
I really liked the first season which was constant fun, likable characters and an interesting subject. I was delighted to see the second season is available.
Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the episode 2 of the second season.
It turned into a woke drama. They forgot all the fun, add moralization everywhere. It's just blatant SJW remarks every 2 minutes... I'm so disappointed right now.

The first season was interesting enough but had many of the floors that disrupt season two. It rushes through it's plots leaving a disorganized mess in it's wake, characters don't form fully and conflicts don't feel natural. The male lead is a horrendous actor ,doug is always about to poo or in the midst of pooing.
It's unfortunate because somewhere in this premise is a great show it's just unfortunately lost in a mess of bad casting, screen writing and direction. It's embarrassing how in this comedy his stand ups bomb. It's a concerning level of unfunny.
