Warburton's expressionlessly ironic delivery turns repetitious; the situations unfunny and even creepy (do daughters really announce their alternative sexual proclivities by making out with a girlfriend in front of dad?) By the end of the second episode, you may even find yourself longing for a good Bill Cosby rape joke. Read full review

Crowded has a couple of laughs--mostly due to Warburton’s deadpan reactions --but mostly it mines well-trod sitcom ground with jokes on parents smoking pot (they get the munchies!) and old people yelling. Read full review

Mr. Warburton is his usual deadpan self as Mike, which makes him seem decidedly out of place in this household, where everyone else is over-energized and overacting. This series, created by Suzanne Martin and inspired by her own life, has a throwback feel, with lots of quick gags and not much depth. Read full review

Instead of poking fun of modern families with millennials who return home and the awkwardness that can create, viewers are treated to over involved parents who placate their kids and exacerbate their own problems. This is not only frustrating to watch but completely unfunny. Read full review

i loved miranda cosgrove she was charming as always i really think u need to give the show a chance and nbc renew next season and i always watch & love show & nbc is not the home for good comedy

The fast short jokes from that guy, reminding off the tv show Til Death whit Brad Garrett.

Very similliar to How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life.

Easy going comedy, easy laughs.

If you like Patrick Warburton, it's hard to give the show a thumbs down, at least it's hard for me.
I think the low ratings are too harsh. People are being too hard on this show and worse shows have gotten better ratings.
But it's true, there is some funny stuff in there, but on the whole,If you like Patrick Warburton, it's hard to give the show a thumbs down, at least it's hard for me.

But it's true, there is some funny stuff in there, but on the whole, I can't call it a good show.
The characters themselves are ok, except for the two daughters. They were created after stereotypes and plotlines with them at their center tend to be lazy.

A little improvement in writing would help the show to get a thumbs up, but I somehow doubt that will happen.
We know the actors, and we know they have talent, but that is largely wasted.
But I will keep my hopes up, you never know.… Expand

It was a good concept for a show, but felt like it tried too hard, the laugh track was extremely annoying, also, Sunday night for a comedy was a really bad idea, and to pin it against the walking dead was just asking for a cancellation, NBC never gave it a shot anyway

NBC comedy has been a wasteland for the past few years. With the exception of "Superstore," nothing has worked. "Crowded" follows that pattern. It's about empty nesters whose kids move back in. Hilarity ensues... except it doesn't. The show isn't clever or funny. It's boring and pathetic.NBC comedy has been a wasteland for the past few years.
